Ringing in the New Year 2012 Paper Piecing Blog Hop

Welcome to Ringing in the New Year 2012 Paper Piecing Blog Hop. This is a one-day event (January 7, 2012). If you want to begin hopping at the starting line, go to Nikk’s blog spot.  She’s our “hostess with the mostest” at Paper Piecings By Nikki.

LoveBug Creations is happy to be included with these crafty divas, who have given their time and talent in preparation for this hop.  I know you’ll want to hop, stop and comment, and hop some more!!  So blow up the balloons, uncork the champagne, and let’s get started!

Here’s the lineup of amazing crafters who want to celebrate 2012 in style:

The theme is anything to do with ringing in the New Year, so with that in mind I designed a little photo book to help me keep track of all the amazing paper piecings I’ve tried in 2011 and add in those I’ll acquire in 2012, Ringing In My Association with PPBN.  From the get-go, I’ve enjoyed the versatility of Nikki’s patterns and have enjoyed incorporating the pieces into my style of crafting (if I’ve got one, that is). Check out other postings below for a look at my other projects.

First I made my photo book using the MY Story machine – it’s quick and easy to put together these little books.  Then I used some SU paper, line pearls, two big Sizzix bows (offset) and paper piecings collage from the following “bear”collections:

Practically Perfect in Every Way
Count My Blessings
Happy New Year 2012

After printing out the patterns and fussy cutting them, I adhered each bear to the bow layers and then went to town stickling the collage of these cuties.  To top it off, I added two decorative buttons with twine from SU. Here’s my photo book close ups:

Here's some of pics in my little photo book of Paper Piecings By Nikki projects.

No matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it.  Hopefully you will see a style of paper piecing that defines your talents through this hop event!

What’s a hop without some sweet, sweet candy??
Nikki has some great blog candy to offer you with these requirements:
1. follow her blog,
2. subscribe by email to her blog,
3. like her Facebook Fanpage (Paper Piecings by Nikki).
4. AND leave a comment on each hop stop!

When you hop to her blog you’ll be reminded of what she wants you to do.

And, how about some sweet treats right here at LoveBug Creations?

In order to be in the running for a clown birthday sticker set, stamp set, a mini ribbon roll, and two handmade bookmarks, you must be a follower and leave a comment to this question: What's your favorite animal and why? (easy peasy)........LoveBug will post the winner on Monday.

Thanks for hopping by........cyberhugs........Mama LoveBug.  Your next stop is a visit to Jamie - http://scrapqueen141.blogspot.com/

Fabulous idea to do a book of photos of your projects. I have the photos, but, they are just hanging out somewhere and should be scrapped. Your book is so cute. My favorite animal is my Golden Retriever. Love her so much. I am a follower. patnbobcuddy at gmail dot com
