Beautiful Bling Blog Hop

Good Bling to You Today - welcome to the Beautiful Bling Blog Hop (say that fast 3x)........this hop is set with some mojo-motivating bling projects.  April's birthstone is the Diamond, so we're using bling on today's projects. If you hopped over from Lori, you're on the right path, but if you discovered the bling-fest by chance and want to start at the beginning, check out our blog hostess, Melanie

Meet Gigi

And Ginger

Here the vintage ladies are awaiting a proper hanging.
I used a digi stamp from Sassy - My Fair Lady (loved Audrey Hepburn in that movie); I printed out two girls in horizontal reverse, fussy cut Gigi and Ginger, colored them with Prisma Pencils, added Stickles for bling, and made corresponding bows for the umbrellas.  Then I punched a spot at the top of the fancy hats and added colorful LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon for the door knob tie.

These bling girls dress up door knobs - you could give them as gifts for other "bling" lovers or keep them for yourself to decorate your craft area.

If you've a mind, check out the LBC Rumple Ribbon HERE

Remember, no matter how you piece your paper or rumple your ribbon, have fun with it..........cyberbling to you.........Mama LoveBug

Here's the complete line-up:

Now I'll send you on to Sarah

Dorcas' Sweet Notes & Dawn Mercedes Dilemma ♥

Hi friends,

Dorcas here again from Crafty Card Angel with a quick note card for you. My mom loves paper. LOVES it. She likes anything that is stationery. I made her a set of these little note cards using Sunset rumple ribbon. The rose is very easy to make. Head on over to the Lovebug Creations Store to pick up your ribbon. Be sure to stop by my blog for more details on the other supplies used.

And now for Dawn Mercedes' Project!!!

You cut your Rumble Ribbon too long...and had to trim a small piece off. It's not big enough for a bow. You are a hoarder and want to keep it, use it. What is a crafter to do? Well, go to your office supplies, pull out a paper clip...and tie that precious remnant onto your clip! Presto magic...You have a cute, trendy embellishment for any card or page. Plus, You have saved yourself from the agonies of mis-cutting your Rumple Ribbon from Lovebug Creations!

This example uses the very springy and very pretty Goddess Green Ribbon!
Thanks for stopping by!!!
Have a crafty day ♥

Dawn Rene's Beautiful Tea Lights & A Winner!!! ♥

Happy Monday! Dawn Rene here to share with you my Lovebug Creations project for the week. I created three decorative tea light candle holders. For each one, I stamped on white tissue paper with two different stamps and colors. I decoupaged layers of the handmade patterned tissue paper to the glass and covered it with a thin matte sealer. Then I decorated each one with coordinating rumpled ribbons, of course! I used the colors - Ballet Slipper, Sunflower, and "On The Edge" Ocean View - which you can buy here. Have a great week!

Mama Lovebug was in a hop this weekend and here is the winner:
#17 - Patti
Congrats Patti! Mama will get with you to get your shipping info for your prize

April Showers Bring May Flowers Blog Hop

Welcome to the "April Showers Bring May Flowers" Blog Hop!

We're so happy you could join us today!

You should have arrived from Vanessa.  If you happened by my blog or are joining me from your dashboard, head over to Miranda's blog to start at the beginning.  We don't want you to miss any of the fun!

Should you get lost along the way, here is the entire line up:

We will be showcasing spring-like projects or projects with a rain or flower theme! In addition to seeing a lot of awesome creations, there is some blog candy available too.  Miranda will be giving away a gift card from either Michael's or JoAnn's (winner's choice).  To be eligible for the blog candy, you are required to visit each stop in the hop and leave a comment!  The winner will be announced Wednesday, April 24th on Miranda's blog!

My project is a little door knob hanging with the intent of cheering up someone who needs an extra boost.  I'm betting you all know somebody who could use a bit of tender care.  I used a paper piecing from PPbN and fussy cut this little "Mary Poppins" character; then I fussy cut some colorful paper for her umbrella, her hat, scarf, and purse to give a bit of old-fashioned color.  My Star Dust gel pen came out for some fine detailing here and there. plus a few Stickles.

The sentiment is computer-generated.  I punched a hole at the top of the umbrella and used our LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon for the door-knob tie and an extra bow at the base of her paw.

Until the sun comes out
Again for you
My umbrella is
Big enough for two.......

Ellen's New Home Card ♥

Hi, this is Ellen ♥ CardMonkey back with a card for a friend who has just bought her first home.
I used Copic markers to color this digi-image, and created the sentiment on my computer/printer. I mounted the image on yellow dotted paper from My Mind's Eye and put that on top of a pre-made white card from a Close To My Heart value pack.

I finished off the card with Lovebug Creations' Rumple Ribbon in Gentleman's Jacket, and gems from CTMH as well.

Dawn Mercedes & Dorcas Share Some Treats & A Tip ♥

Chews to treat your kids, husbands, coworkers...
with a little bit of your handiwork.
I created a couple of gum holders for my kids with inspirational messages.
Today, as I was scheduling this post, my son called and needed me to bring up his gym clothes...
despite the number of times I said "Are you sure you have your gym clothes?"
Such is the life of a mother...
and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Easy Peasy...extra large nestie.
You could also cut out a shape from your electronic cutter.
Two folds make it into a "book."
Cut two slits in the binding to "hold the gum in" using Lovebug Ribbon.
Here I used the new color, Phyllis from the new Oh, Cecelia Collect.
It's pretty close to the color Sunset.
I also used Removeable Glue Dots © to secure the gum.

Then decorate the top...and the inside back has plenty of room for you to write a sweet note!
Thanks for checking out the blog today.
Dawn Mercedes, of Sunnyside Up
And now for Dorcas' Project....
I'm here to share a cute card using Caddy Blue Rumple Ribbon. I love this color...this one is my favorite one (together with lemonade). I used a trick to iron out my rumple ribbon - I used my flat iron (yes, the one I use on my very curly hair). It worked like a charm. Please be sure to visit my Crafty Card Angel blog to get more details on the supplies I used.
