Dawn Mercedes & Dorcas Brighten Up The Blog ♥

After a fabulous surprise party on my 40th bday,
I have a very long list of thank you notes that need to go out to friends and family who helped make my day so special.
Today, I made five of these "Thanks a bunch" Cards.

I'm not one to "mass produce" cards.  But my list is long this time!

I love the orangey yellow hue of William Rumple Ribbon, that you can find in the Oh Ceclia collection
at Lovebug Creations.  The rhinestones also tie in the happy, sunny color.

So...I need about 22 more cards before starting on my thank you list!
Feel free to visit my blog, Sunnyside Up, to see what else I have created using Rumple Ribbon!

and now for Dorcas' project

Hi friends!

Today I'm sharing this cute cupcake topper I made for the Princess in Progress baby shower that I've been working on for what seems to be months.  (LOL).  I used simply white rumple ribbon since it goes best with the color scheme.  Please be sure to visit my blog for more details.

Please swing by my blog and say hello!!! And Now for Dawn Mercedes' Project...

I'm just hooting for joy today!  I got the best news!  My three sisters and their families and my parents will be here for my birthday in about a week!  It's a big one. I'm turning FORTY!  Yippeee!

No matter what the disagreement is, my siblings and I will OWL-WAYS love each other.  I just feel bad that my little brother won't be able to join in the festivities!

I need to get all my ducks in order for the big celebration!

Be sure to flutter over to Lovebug Creation's store to pick your favorite Rumple Ribbon.

The owl sentiment is from Joy's Life: Punny Animals.

Dawn Rene's Fabulous Ribbon Necklace ♥

Happy Monday! Dawn Rene with you today to share a necklace I made with Lovebug Creations rumpled ribbon and some scrap pieces of fabric. This necklace is a very easy to make. You take a couple strips of fabric and tie knots in it every couple inches. Then you do the same thing with the ribbon. I glued the ends of the ribbon and fabric into bead caps. The necklace closes with a toggle clasp.

I used the orange-yellowish ribbons from the Oh Cecilia Collection. They give the necklace a beautiful spring and summery feel!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week.....

3 Ah-MAY-Zing Ladies share some awesome cards ♥

Hello Buckeyes and Crafties!
Today I want to share a card cut out on the Cameo for a friend who has a friend who just had a future OSU alum..........well the thing is I cut out this onesie three times.  First I used pink damask paper and then I cut out a onesie with red damask paper.  My third cut used OSU designer paper, and because it was on the flimsy side, I adhered it to the red damask and used the trim pieces of pink and OSU paper on each card.

Jaded Blossom has a two-piece treat die that came in handy for the sentiment (stamp from my stash) and then I created bows for both cards using LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon - red and pink and red and grey. HERE

I love this Cameo!!  I should have bought one last year but never thought I'd care for it.........wrong.........if you are on the fence.......jump over quicker than I did!!  Also, I'd like to thank my daughter and fellow LoveBug Creations partner, Kimi, for all her help as she is also new to the Cameo!!  Our LBC CT mates, Tanya and Zeni, have been extolling the wonders of the Cameo for months - we should have listened to them sooner!

Remember no matter how you piece your paper and rumple your ribbon, have fun with it.........cyberhugs.......Mama LoveBug

Dawn Mercedes' Fab Card/Tip & Dorcas' Pretty Tags!! ♥

Happy May Day, Crafters!
I hope today you are able to create something with flowers today!

This month, Lovebug Creations is pairing up with The Robin's Nest.
You'll love these sparkly paper's from the Sorbet Line.
Here I used Phyllis Rumple Ribbon. The variegated oranges looks great with the patches and streaks of the colored papers!

Here's a tip for today:
Keep your layers flat and smooth by edging your paper in black ink. I also like embossing it with clear powder. The result is a faux mat...and less layers on your card!
Try it! You'll like it!!

AND NOW FOR DORCAS' PROJECT

Hi friends. First..can you believe it's MAY?????

Dorcas here from Crafty Card Angel to bring you this week's project. I have been dying to make Tags. Why? Well, because everyone else does such a great job and I wanted to give it a try. I used Sunset rumple ribbon on these. They are for my sis and my best friend. Today is our end-of-tax-season brunch. Please visit my blog for more photos.

Dawn Mercedes & Dorcas Share Some Treats & A Tip ♥

Chews to treat your kids, husbands, coworkers...
with a little bit of your handiwork.
I created a couple of gum holders for my kids with inspirational messages.
Today, as I was scheduling this post, my son called and needed me to bring up his gym clothes...
despite the number of times I said "Are you sure you have your gym clothes?"
Such is the life of a mother...
and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Easy Peasy...extra large nestie.
You could also cut out a shape from your electronic cutter.
Two folds make it into a "book."
Cut two slits in the binding to "hold the gum in" using Lovebug Ribbon.
Here I used the new color, Phyllis from the new Oh, Cecelia Collect.
It's pretty close to the color Sunset.
I also used Removeable Glue Dots © to secure the gum.

Then decorate the top...and the inside back has plenty of room for you to write a sweet note!
Thanks for checking out the blog today.

And now for Dorcas' Project....

I'm here to share a cute card using Caddy Blue Rumple Ribbon. I love this color...this one is my favorite one (together with lemonade). I used a trick to iron out my rumple ribbon - I used my flat iron (yes, the one I use on my very curly hair). It worked like a charm. Please be sure to visit my Crafty Card Angel blog to get more details on the supplies I used.
