It's Monday Mama's Mesh Madness over on the CardMonkey Paper Jungle, so hop on over to learn more of the particulars on this enchanting Halloween card. 

Ellen (our resident CardMonkey) made this Halloween card using a file she modified from the Silhouette Online store.  

She let Mama Mesh in orange and fluorescent green (available soon!) peek out from behind the fussy cut images from Bo Bunny. 

Dawn Mercedes says a little tad of LBC Rumple Ribbon will give delight!

Just a touch of Rumple Ribbon can go along way.

Here I used Mae from the Family Ties Collection along with some acrylic brads.

This set of ribbons have gorgeous fall-like colors.

Ellen's Masculine Mama's Mesh Card ♥

Hi there, fans of Lovebug Creations -- your favorite Monkey Bug (CardMonkey) here to redirect your attention to an "oldie but a goodie" -- Mama's Mesh!

This card is a bit on the masculine side, I think -- and I didn't want to "feminize" it with fantastic Rumple Ribbons. And Mama's Mesh looks a bit like a nautical fishing net to me, so I dug into my stash for this card. But I've only ordered it (so far!) in pink and powder blue for a baby shower project I'm working on -- and that won't do, so ...

Copic markers to the rescue!  I put the Mama's Mesh on a scratch piece of paper and went about scribbling my navy blue Copic onto the mesh. It took perfectly! I combined the mesh with embellishments and stamps from the Close To My Heart "Tommy" line of paper and Workshop On The Go stamps. (The WOTG stamps are now retired, but the paper is still available.)  The hemp is also from CTMH.

Buttercream Rumple Ribbon takes center stage today on this adorable kit card that Ellen/CardMonkey modified to personalize.

Changing up a Card Kitchen kit card by Jillibean Soup, Ellen added a pretty pink button topped by a navy dotted fabric flower from Close To My Heart. She moved the sticker from the kit to be next to the button, and changed up standard ribbon in the kit for one of her favorite Rumple Ribbons.

First of all, I was able to use several different techniques and supplies on this card that just made me smile. Ellen's A Beautiful Springtime Star ♥

It's springtime and the sky is bright with brilliant stars and colors just seem to pop.

It is my favorite time of year is when there's a light green haze of budding trees on the horizon.

In celebration, I made this 3-D "My Creations Star" from Close To My Heart covered with my favorite Rumple Ribbon colors.

 

 

I also made this simple, all-purpose card made in light, Spring colors.

Ellen Celebrates Life....Beautifully

 

Greetings, Rumple Ribbon fans! After a teeny delay by the post office (grrrr!), I was overjoyed the week before last to get in my package from Lovebug Creations with a load of fantastic new colors, including a few I show here. Isn't this Green Goddess simply luscious!!?

While I thought I'd be using my Green Goddess Rumple Ribbon on a St. Patrick's Day card, it turns out that it is the perfect complement to the Close To My Heart "Pear" cardstock I just got in to use with my "Chantilly" paper. MMMMmmm, I LOVE that paper almost as much as I LOOOOVVVVE that shade of green in Green Goddess (which is a part of the "Heaven and Earth Collection" of Rumple Ribbons.

So over on my blog, I'm featuring a bright and cheery sympathy card -- unusual, right? Well, after 92 years on God's green earth, I think we ought to be celebrating the "life well lived" of my friend's mother who passed last week. I hope it is well-received. While I'm still drooling over all the new Rumple Ribbons I received last week, I'd like to show you a new way I came up with to store these babies:

I cut the cardstock "spools" using a file from Silhouette America, using my Silhouette Cameo, sizing the spool 4.25" x 5", a perfect size for my Iris Ribbon Storage box. I ironed and wrapped each color separately around each spool, and labeled the color using my Brother P-Touch label system. I store them alphabetically in the box. Next, I took the tag that comes on each Rumple Ribbon, and glued a small piece of the corresponding color onto the back of the tag, and put the tags on a key ring where I've stacked the tags by color.

Cute, huh??

Good morning, CardMonkey/Rumple Ribbon fans. Happy almost-St. Patrick's Day!

This week, I've made an adorable floral topped hexagonal paper container, using a super-easy/super-fast cut file available from the Silhouette America online store ($0.99).

I cut the box in a single piece from CTMH "Chantilly" paper. Folding it was a bit tricky to figure out, but if I could get the hang of it, so can you.

While the box stays closed on its own, I wrapped its "neck" with GREEN LEAVES Rumple Ribbon, part of the new collections by Lovebug Creations. Stop by my blog to learn more about the sweet project.

Ellen CardMonkey's Create Banner ♥

Inspired by a post by fellow Lovebug Creations Creative Team, Dawn Rene, CardMonkey Jarvis made this fun banner to hang in her Paper Jungle.

 

 

 

To make this banner, you'll need:

1.5 empty, upcycled cereal boxes
3 large pieces of cardboard, cutting 2 pennants from each one.
The Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge
The Cricut Artiste cartridge
Colorful papers from a 2013 calendar
Solid cardstock to cut your rosettes, letters
Adhesive (ATG gun, small brushes, double sided tape ...)
And an assortment of the delightful RUMPLE RIBBONS

Ellen's Easter Basket

Ellen (CardMonkey) here with yet another way to use your Rumple Ribbons ...

Here, I took an Easter basket die cut and wove the new delicious color called Rosebud through the upper edge of the basket. As Goldilocks might say, Rumple Ribbons are "just right" ... soft enough that they didn't tear my diecut as I thread it through the paper cuts, and firm enough to hold the pretty bow on the left.

Kimi here to share with you my color to sneak!!! It's called "Gentleman's Jacket"!!!

For my project I made an album page for a "not-so-mini" I've been working on for a while. If you are a FB fan you may have seen some of the other sneaks for this album! I love how its turning out! The "Gentleman's Jacket" ribbons are working perfectly with the papers and embellies I've been using throughout the album already!!! So here it is...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is a day for love ... not only to recognize those people you love, but how about acknowledging some of those things you love, too?

 

I L♥VE paper crafting, I can't deny it! I'm a hoarder of all things crafty, and I will never stop. :) One of my very favorite things is the new Rumple Ribbons by Lovebug Creations.

 

 

Of course, Rumple Ribbons can be tied into a bow. But did you know you can make things out of your ribbon to work as embellishments on your cards or scrapbook layouts? For example, take a look at these beautiful Caddy Blue roses! To make them, just lay a line of glue along one edge of your Rumple Ribbon and roll and fluff the petals. Easy-peasy!
