My project is a double-sided stand up card that can be used as a table favor.  Uncle Sam Bear is a print and cut from the Silhouette Store. Since I'm a new Cameo owner, I've been experimenting with the print and cut feature and I absolutely am blown away with the precise cuts I get from this machine.  I decorated the bear with a stamp - These Colors Don't Run (Pink by Design) and a triple bow I made from the Old Glory Set of LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon.  I made a little circle to keep my bear in place using Mama's Mesh, also a LoveBug Creations product found HERE. I have an eclectic, whimsical style and as for cards I tend to enjoy crafting triple-stamped cards. I found that using that design lends itself to experimentation with stamps, different sprays and mists.  I recently discovered Mr. Huey sprays and used several with a circular mask to create this card.  The centerpiece of the card is actually a sticker I had in my stash.  


First I'll give you the dimensions and some info on how to use this technique to make a card of your own:

Dimensions for the stamped layers - 1 each
2" x 3-1/4"
3" x 4-1/4"
4" x 5-1/4"
Dimensions for the cardstock mat layers - 1 each
2-1/4" x 3-1/2"
3-1/4" x 4-1/2"
5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (fold for card base to get a great crease)

For me it was very helpful to have this dimension guide - no guess work!!


After cutting the card stock and mats, I lightly adhered them together and placed the mask on top.  I sprayed some Mr Huey in Ocean and Peppermint and then adhered our LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon (the Old Glory Collection found HERE) AND some LBC Mama's Mesh on the mats. I cut these strips to lay between the top two layers and fashioned two bows for the top and bottom of the center panel.  Here's my Celebrate Freedom project:

Our Stars and Stripes – may our flag continue to fly over our country to demonstrate to the world that we are a nation based on liberty and equality - our colors don't run!!

Today I am sharing with you a 4^th of July Celebration Brooch that I made using a SU punch and some double-sided flag paper.  You will also see some Stickles and a really neat center for the flower which makes the project complete.

This is a picture of the back of the brooch - a jeweler's pin.  This can be worn on a shirt or jacket or pinned on a purse, lampshade, etc - use your imagination!!

Extra Scraps - This is a project I posted yesterday from which I used the same flag paper that I used for the brooch so you can see I'm always looking for ways to use up scraps.

This little dynamite duo is made from paper patterns - Independence Day and I Love NY - collections from Paper Piecings by Nikki.  I fussy cut them and added glitz plus the celebrate stamp I had from Close to My Heart.

Mama LoveBug aka Pam of LoveBug Creations would like to share a pocket card today as a way of saying thank you to our USA traditions, history, and people who make this country THE BEST!!  I dipped into my arsenal of crafty things and designed this card with several symbols of our freedom in mind:

*Our wonderful Lady Liberty who was the first welcoming sight to many immigrants as they entered the US seeking refuge and a new way of life. 

*Our US flag – may it continue to fly over our country to demonstrate to the world that we are a nation based on liberty and equality. (see how I used this tomorrow)

*Our colors – red, white, and blue – these colors don’t run from the face of tyranny.

I used the digi stamp from Simply Betty Stamps, which I colored with watercolor pencils, gel pens, and Stickles - love them!!  The sentiments were from Close to My Heart and Pink By Design - God Bless the USA and You Make A Difference In The Life Of Our Country.  The paper was from my stash - various companies.  The pin with Let Freedom Ring was an embellie I bought at Archivers and the red metal dots I found in my glitter stash.
