My idea for today’s project stems from the popularity of bees as a cute way to decorate for a special event – a shower, a birthday party, a retirement soiree, etc.  I designed a card which could be used as an invitation OR as a way to mark the event with a photo for each guest to take with him/her to memorialize the fun; I made a pocket on the inside for this purpose.

I had a set of bee stamps from CTMH and a darling bee image from Alice Smith (clipart4resale.com -aka Whimsy Primsy).
Using the triple-stamp technique to prepare the mats and whisper white SU cardstock, I first stamped the bee images and colored with gel pens to give texture and sparkle.  I fussy cut the bee image for the center panel and added a double bow of LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon found HERE; then I added a bit of Stickles here and there to give just the right amount of glitz.

As I am a reader, I found this quote interesting - maybe you will too:

“Handle a book as a bee does a flower, extract its sweetness but do not damage it.”
― John Muir

Here's the crafties from the beehive:

Remember, no matter how you piece your paper and rumple your ribbon, have fun with it...............cyberbuzzing.........Mama LoveBug

Don't forget to gather another bee in your bonnet tomorrow!!

The next bee in the hive is HAIDEE who loves butterflies!
