Paper Hoarders DT Offering - Halloween Shape Card

The Paper Hoarders Design Team assignment was to create a Halloween shape card. The amazing Tanya, our fearless leader, has all the DT projects posted on her blog, located at http://www.scrappinkymomma.blogspot.com/

Mama LoveBug has NEVER made a shape card before and so I had to think way outside of the box - like on another planet's box.  I had a digi stamp from GFS which was a cute little boy dressed in a skeleton costume so I used that to make a very large card - say about 8" tall.  Here's the finished project.

Skeleton Boy

In order to achieve this shaped card, I ran off several digi images and did some fussy cutting around the skeleton boy; then I added several layers underneath the front boy.

Front Layer before glitzing.

Middle Layer with stamping and coloring done.

Back Layer with the actual stamps I used.

All three layers side by side before I put them together.

You can see that I used watercolor pencils and glitter pens, some DWV cardstock, and a few stamped images for the inside.  WalMart had a terrific sale on some very cute Halloween images a few months ago so I stocked up on those.  The layers were bound together with 3 glitter brads.  This bad boy is a free-standing card, ready to be taken home and be treasured by a grandson.  Since I have two, I'd better make another one before it's time to rattle those skeleton bones.

Thanks for stopping by.......drop me a comment if you'd like.......and check out LoveBug Creations' other blog postings and our FB page.  Happy Halloween!!!
