Happy Wednesday Lovebug friends!
Today I am sharing a project I made for my daughter's sweet friend. I found this charm on sale and it happened to be her initial, so I bought it, knowing I could come up with something for her. I made her this bookmark:

 I started with 3 colors of rumple ribbon: Purple People Eater from the Fright Night collection, Green Goddess (which is now retired), and Kisses from the Loves Me...Love Me Knot collection and braided them together. The charm is tied on the end.
I thought this would be awesome to give her for her birthday along with a gift certificate to the bookstore.

Seems like babies are everywhere these days!  A friend asked for my help in making these cute diaper invitations.  I'm sure you all have seen them over the years, but she fell in love with them.  It took a little time to figure out, but once I did, cutting and making them was easy.  The colors go so perfectly with this beautiful rumple ribbon, don't you think?

Hey LBC friends!
It's Sunday again (my how time flies, especially at this time of year)! That means it's my turn (Stephanie) to share my latest Lovebug Creation's project with you! Yippee!
This week I am thinking all about end of the school year gifts-for teachers, specials, & yes, for my kids too! They both had amazing years & I like to give them a little reward at the end of each year. So I made a bookmark with the intention of giving it to my daughter. (We try to do lots of reading over the summer!) I love the way it turned out & think I'll make more for teachers, the school librarian & maybe others!

Teaming Up Mama's Mesh and Rumple Ribbon - Mama LoveBug Style & Ellen Makes Our Day ♥

Good Morning, Crafties!  With Mother's Day in my rear view mirror, I thought I'd better share some ideas:
1. Mama's Mesh and LBC Rumple Ribbon - team them up for some texture and variety
2. A fun fussy cut purse I created for my own mother.  The purse has been cut out twice using the beautiful Robin's Nest Sorbet blue raspberry paper.  A white lunch bag (cut in half) was adhered between the purse cuts so I'd have a little treat bag to put in pictures of her great-grandchildren (she really liked that!!)
3. Jaded Blossom die - useful in so many projects when you want a neat shape for a sentiment

See how the textures really make for a fun project and on the bottom add more Mama's Mesh and some decorative flower embellies

Add a butterfly punched sentiment and you've got something unique!

I bet you can create something along these lines that will brighten up somebody's day...........remember no matter how you piece your paper and rumple your ribbon, have fun with it..........cyberhugs........Mama LoveBug

Dorcas' Sweet Notes & Dawn Mercedes Dilemma ♥

Dorcas here again from Crafty Card Angel with a quick note card for you. My mom loves paper. LOVES it. She likes anything that is stationery. So...dilemma...

You cut your Rumble Ribbon too long...and had to trim a small piece off. It's not big enough for a bow. You are a hoarder and want to keep it, use it. What is a crafter to do? Well, go to your office supplies, pull out a paper clip...and tie that precious remnant onto your clip! Presto magic...You have a cute, trendy embellishment for any card or page. Plus, You have saved yourself from the agonies of mis-cutting your Rumple Ribbon from Lovebug Creations!

This example uses the very springy and very pretty Goddess Green Ribbon!

Ellen Celebrates Life....Beautifully

 

Greetings, Rumple Ribbon fans! After a teeny delay by the post office (grrrr!), I was overjoyed the week before last to get in my package from Lovebug Creations with a load of fantastic new colors, including a few I show here. Isn't this Green Goddess simply luscious!!?

While I thought I'd be using my Green Goddess Rumple Ribbon on a St. Patrick's Day card, it turns out that it is the perfect complement to the Close To My Heart "Pear" cardstock I just got in to use with my "Chantilly" paper. MMMMmmm, I LOVE that paper almost as much as I LOOOOVVVVE that shade of green in Green Goddess (which is a part of the "Heaven and Earth Collection" of Rumple Ribbons.

So over on my blog, I'm featuring a bright and cheery sympathy card -- unusual, right? Well, after 92 years on God's green earth, I think we ought to be celebrating the "life well lived" of my friend's mother who passed last week. I hope it is well-received. Hop on over to get the particulars on this tri-fold shutter card.

While I'm still drooling over all the new Rumple Ribbons I received last week, I'd like to show you a new way I came up with to store these babies:

I cut the cardstock "spools" using a file from Silhouette America, using my Silhouette Cameo, sizing the spool 4.25" x 5", a perfect size for my Iris Ribbon Storage box. I ironed and wrapped each color separately around each spool, and labeled the color using my Brother P-Touch label system. I store them alphabetically in the box. Next, I took the tag that comes on each Rumple Ribbon, and glued a small piece of the corresponding color onto the back of the tag, and put the tags on a key ring where I've stacked the tags by color.

Cute, huh??
