12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop - Day 4

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop.

Hi, Crafties, Mama LoveBug here - last year I created a 12 Days of Christmas Count Down and I'm doing the same this year too.  The difference is I have a Cameo, so many of my projects will be cut with this awesome machine, but all will feature images from Digi My World's 12 Days of Christmas.  These are not huge projects, but when you collect them all together at the end, they can be used as table decor for decorating a holiday gathering or office party.  By the end of our 12 days I'm betting you'll know this song by heart!!

Mama LoveBug & Dawn Rene's Sneak Peekaboo

Hi Crafties!  This is the LoveBug Creations CT Sneak Peek Week - (say that fast three times).......Each day members of the CT will showcase aka tease you with a specific color from our new Rumple Ribbon Spring Collection.  Since this is my shared blog (with daughter Kimi), I can let you in on the name of my ribbon color but for others on the CT, you need to check out their blogs for the scoop.

I actually made two sneakers (one is even wearing sneakers!!).  My first project is a bookmark but you could use it as a gift tag too.  I love to read, so I found this a useful project for myself.  My second project is a double-sided stand-up card for one of my besties at work.

My LBC Rumple Ribbon spring color is Oh Darling!
For the bookmark I threaded the ribbon and made a bow at the top; my focal image was a lovely heart from Loralie Designs; the sentiment is from a Dr. Seuss quote collection online.

For the sneaker girl I used a cutie from button girls by Treasure Box.

Welcome to Day 2 of Lovebug Creations Sneak Peek Week. This is Dawn Rene Carlyle from Designs By Dawn Rene. I just joined the Lovebug Creations' creative team. I am very honored to be a part of the fabulous group of gals that get to play with the beautiful Lovebug Creations Rumple Ribbons. This week we are highlighting the new spring ribbons that go on sale February 24th. I created this friendship easel card using one of the new ribbons for fun bow. Autumn Blessings Blog Hop

Welcome to the Autumn Blessings Blog Hop.  It's that time of year when family and friends may share a good meal, have memories to recount, and think about those who can't be with them for whatever reason.

If you've arrived from Paula, you're on the right path.  Our blog hostess Lisa wanted us to create a project for her hop using the theme, Autumn Blessings, so sit back with your favorite beverage and gobble up some inspiration for the coming fall gatherings.  Lisa also has some blog candy which she'll detail on her spot.

I made two cards using techniques that are out of my comfort zone, so I am blessed with plenty of crafty resources - either in supply form or Internet inspiration!

This first card is an easel card, which I fashioned with various layers, using a pumpkin house w/mice digi stamp Dearie Dolls Digis, some gel pens for highlighting, and punched pattern paper w/stamps for the sentiment -

The second card is a center-step card.  I used a few different patterns from Paper Piecing by Nikki Happy Fall Crows to add the autumn flavor.  I fussy cut the crow with pumpkins and the apple basket (again highlighting w/gel pens).  I added some ribbon and pearls to the front step to give the card more of a 3-D look.

My First Action Wobble for Challenge

Mama LoveBug jumped into the 21st Century of Paper Crafting today - yes I have become a major fan of Action Wobbles.  I saw someone post (long ago) about the fun she had making "action" figures and I sat on the sidelines for a long time admiring the idea but never tried the action idea until now!!

What was I thinking?  This idea is VERY fun and entertaining along with being so darling!  Well, anyway, I used a sweet Simply Betty digi I recently purchased to see if I'd like the idea and if I could make something that worked with the whole action wobble concept.  I also tried a new style of card (new for me) - an easel card!

Turns out I like that too......woot, woot!!  Keep in mind that I am the queen of SU dimensionals - I like how an image can be raised on the card for added interest but these Wobbles not only give that "lift" but also a whimsical element my cards until now did not have!! So here's my attempt at movement!

Like the SU sentiment says - Grab your broom, cast your spell, and shake your Booty!  Of course, the pumpkin gal has a few spidery pals to keep her company while she shakes her booty.........LOL!
