Dorcas

Hi crafty friends!

A very dear friend lost her mom last week and I decided to make her a beautiful card.  I used black rumple ribbon and left it rumpled up.  Sometimes I iron it out to make it more smooth, but this time I wanted the effect to be loose.  I hope you enjoy.  Visit my Blog for more details on the supplies.

Zeni Shows Off New Colors & Martha's Simply Adorable ♥

Good morning Lovebuggers! :) (I just love saying that!) Martha and I here again taking over the blog once again. Take a look at our cards below using some gorgeous rumple ribbon.

For my project I made a simple sympathy card. I know these aren't very fun to make, but I wanted it to look pretty and send some encouraging words to a family who lost their dad.

I used Simply Black and Simply White Rumple Ribbon from the Just the Basics collection which will be released soon. There will be one more color added to this collection so stay tuned for more updates on the new release! :) For more information you can visit my blog.

And now to Martha's super cute card:

Happy Friday Everyone ;)
I have a cutesy card today using Ballet Slippers rumple ribbon. I am sooo loving this color, such a great pastel color for lots of projects ;)

I used scrap paper from my stash, sentiment from Pink by Design and lace and embellishments from stash.

Hope you all have a great weekend, oh and don't forget to leave me some love at my BLOG :)

Day 1 - Ginger Snap Scraps Grand Opening Blog Hop

Welcome to the Ginger Snap Scraps Grand Opening Blog Hop!  I’m Pam Lash aka Mama LoveBug from LoveBug Creations.  I’m part of the crafting bunch who are celebrating Cori’s online store known as Ginger Snap Scraps.  This two-day hop will feature brands that Cori has for sale at her store www.gingersnapscraps.com

Cori Wagner, a stay at home mother, owns Ginger Snap Scraps and has been scrapbooking, card making and rubber-stamping for 15 years! Ginger Snap Scraps carries Cricut Cartridges always for $35 and under. They have popular brands such as My Mind's Eye, Tim Holtz, Copic, Doodlebug Design, The Twinery, Bella Blvd, Graphic 45, La-La Land, Little Yellow Bicycle, Riley & Co., Peachy Keen, and many more!

Many talented ladies have created projects to showcase some of the brands that are available in the store.  The line-up is as follows:

My projects for this first day are pocket cards that I designed for different occasions.  The first is a sympathy card – no one really likes to make these but they can be inspiring and comforting for those who need support and a smile during a trying time.  I love La-La Land images (Marci is too sweet) and have a plethora of these in my crafting arsenal.  I colored and fussy cut this one using the Chateau Lavinder DCWV paper, gel pens, pearls, a butterfly punch, my crimper, and some appropriate Pink By Design sayings.  Here’s the pocket sympathy card.

I also made an Easter pocket card for my mother who resides in a near-by nursing home.  The darling Easter La-La Land Marci was my pick for this too.  Again I fussy cut the image after coloring, and used gel pens for highlights.  I used a SU Die for Marci’s fancy frame and some appropriate images and sentiments from Jaded Blossom.  The paper was from a stash of Crate Paper – truly beautiful colors for this event! Here’s Mom’s Easter card.

Please visit Ginger Snap Scraps today and enjoy free shipping on $25 orders to the U.S. and Canada!

Your next stop on today's hop is another Pam L - Pam L- http://mzlavr2.blogspot.com/ but before you go, I'd be honored if you'd take a moment and leave a comment and/or become our fan at LoveBug Creations. ...........Remember to have fun with all your crafting!

Paper Piecings By Nikki DT Offering - Sympathy Card #2

Terrific Tuesday – As I said yesterday, I bet if you’re like me you have on occasion needed to design sympathy cards.  Some can be very somber and some can hopefully generate a smile to lift the spirit of those who are hurting.  I opt for the latter type.  Here is an example of how I used the Always By Your Side Collection by Paper Piecings by Nikki which is located at her online store http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/

For this one I used the Bear with a Harp for the insert and after fussy cutting I embellished with gel pens, frosted lace Stickles, and some appropriate sentiments from Pink By Design.

You can do so much with these piecings, using them as a springboard for your imagination for whatever the occasion might be.

Remember, no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it! ………………cyberhugs..........Mama LoveBug

Paper Piecings By Nikki DT Offering - Sympathy Card

Good Morning Monday……….I bet if you’re like me you have on occasion needed to design sympathy cards.

For the sympathy card, the base, and the insert – I made the paper for the base using the second image from this collection, some ribbon, my crimper and corner chomper, gel pens after fussy cutting the darling bears, frosted lace Stickles, and appropriate sympathy sentiments from Pink By Design.

You can do so much with these piecings using them as a springboard for your imagination for whatever the occasion might be.

Remember, no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it! ………………cyberhugs..........Mama LoveBug
