My Projects
I must confess that I did not know anything of this Mexican-inspired holiday so I did a bit of digging (excuse the pun) to find out more.
"The day before Halloween, people mark the day by cleaning their homes and sprucing up the graveyards of departed loved ones with flowers and decorations. Death becomes whimsical on the Day of the Dead. People joke about death, they display miniature skeletons in fancy clothes, and children enjoy sugar skulls and other spooky confections."
To mark this celebration, I first made a wall hanging with a Cameo print-and-cut Sugar Skull using stickles, twine, a gel pen for accenting lines, and LoveBug Creations Halloween Grunge At LBC Online Store
Not just satisfied with this I constructed another sugar skull for a gift bag to be loaded with yummy treats!
I started out with a Cameo-cut sugar skull and two print-and-cut flowers for the eyes.
Then I added stickles, gel pen accenting, Mama's Mesh and Simply Red Rumple Ribbon from LBC
And I adhered the skull onto a gift bag onto which I added some more LBC Mama's Mesh and Simply Black Rumple Ribbon, a skeleton sticker, and voila - my treat bag
Here's the complete line-up for you
