Summer Reading with Dawn Mercedes ♥

This is Dawn Mercedes, from Sunnyside Up.
I have an "easy as pie" and "cute as a dumpling craft" for you
summer readers!

A Rumple Ribbon Bookmark!

Simply take two pieces of  rumple ribbon from Lovebug Creations and one piece of elastic cording.
They need to be 4-5 inches long.
Slip knot them around a colored, plastic coated paperclip.
(The plastic coating is easy on your book pages.)
Tug on that knot!

Then I used a Advanced Strength Glue Dot®
to secure a rhinestone. The bling adds a bit of pizzaz as well as keeps your  knot in place.
Rumple Ribbon colors used:

Next, slip it into your summer reading delight!

Now, I'm done with this book...Book three in the series.
Book four is waiting for me at the library as I type this!!
(Squeal!)

What is on your summer reading list this season??
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Dawn Mercedes Gorgeous Spring Card ♥

 Hi crafters!
This is Dawn, of Sunnyside Up, just checking in on this fantastic Friday!
By now, spring has even popped up here in Michigan and I thought I'd show you a frilly
card that will get you lots of admiration b/c of the embellishments!

I folded a long, tall envie into a gate fold.
The edge with Buttercup rumple ribbon from the Southern Sass Collection by Lovebug Creations.  Then, I bedecked the top flap using Spring Lilac and Blue Bells from the Gardens of Tara Collection.

I used Glue Dots  ® to adhere these Beautiful Blooms to my flap.
A Repositional Glue Dot keeps my flap shut!
I love these flowers.  They are lightweight and colorful.
What colors would YOU like to see in the LBC store?

I created this simple card.
Well..honestly...I cut down a pre fab card to fit inside my envie.
After I added a lilac insert and the watercoloring/sequins...who would think this was
ever store bought!

Show your gratitude with a whole lot of flare and style...
For more colors, please sashay on over to the Lovebug Creations store!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!!
Or, should I say, "Merci!!"

Stephanie's Gorgeous Layout & Katie's Terrific Journal ♥

Hey Lovebug friends! Happy Wednesday! I hope you're week is going well. These Spring days are slipping by so quickly.
Here is a layout I created using Lovebug Creations' Rumple Ribbon and a Mama's Rose!

I used "Blue Bells" from the Gardens of Tara collection on my tag and a Mama's Rose in green. They are so gorgeous and fun to create with!! You can read more about this layout on my blog.
Thanks for letting me share!

The traveling journal has come around again... this time, the owner wants us to use words that inspire our art... so I did.  On the bottom a few quotes on the waterfall, which I cut to allow all three to be seen at the same time
I needed to hide the 'seam' of the waterfall and what better than Rumple Ribbon in Sunset?  Once in a while I do a project without Lovebugs Rumple, but it never looks as finished.  This really brought the whole piece together.  To add some movement, I put in a lot (A LOT) of brads in different finishes.
Here is a close up of the little canvas I made for my 'art'.

Stephanie & Katie Rock The Blog ♥

Hey every"buggy"! Stephanie here today.
Two weeks ago I celebrated my birthday and I have such amazing family & friends. I was showered with many gifts & surprises, so now I have many "thank you" cards to send!
Here are a few that I have created
I made a trio of cards featuring Lovebug Creations' rumple ribbon in Fool's GoldPurple-dise and I Love Grunge. You can read more about each individual card on my blog.
Make it a crafty day, y'all!

Katie
HOW FUN IS THIS!!!!  This is a one on one swap with the Marie Antoinette group and I just loved making this for my partner.  It measures 4.5 inches tall by 4 inches wide when closed.... when closed with that BEAUTIFUL blue Rumple Ribbon from the new spring collection.  I  just love how versatile this product it is.  I really use it on 90% of my projects!
Here are a few pics - but for a better look, stop by the Video.  To help secure that large piece of lace I added some buttons and a stick pin.
Inside, I made a little pocket for some treats.  That Mama's Mesh always comes in handy for pockets.  And a isn't that rick rack HUGE!!  I liked the layering of the two.
Here I stitched in a few pieces of felt to hold the needles and pins.  On the blue page I added a little piece of lace and I just love how pretty and simple that looks!

Kimi's Super Surprise Birthday Blog Hop

Welcome to KIMI’S SURPRISE BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP!!

We at LoveBug Creations are super excited to share Kimi's special day with you! Since we are mother-daughters and we share this blog, it's been rather a challenge to keep this quiet, but hopefully we've surprised you..........so Happy Birthday, Sweetie, and Little Sis!!

First of all we want to say thank you to the CT and Guests for participating in this!  Here's the line-up of talented "buggies" who are showcasing their affection for Miss Birthday Girl:

I (Missy) bet you are picking yourself up the floor with such a shock - me crafting!  Yes, I did and I absolutely had the best time using the newest Rumple Ribbon collections to make you a twisted rumple ribbon bracelet - love the colors and love you!

Aren't those colors gorgeous!! Great job, Missy!!

Well, Kim, another year older and yet I (Mama LoveBug) remain the same - 39 so you must have been born when I was 8.......hummmm, well, maybe that's not quite right!?!  I can still remember you as a child screaming at strangers and hating to get your hair washed; pointing out "people in buggies" as we traveled to Ft Wayne; being sad when your sisters told you were adopted (which wasn't true) as they showed you the birth certificate of a Cabbage Patch doll (hey, you couldn't read yet so you didn't know they were messing with you); and begging GG to open just one more present at Christmas time when you were supposed to be in bed, waiting for Santa to drop by! And what about the time you did something unmentionable at the dinner table when Jennifer had her first boyfriend as a guest.........ah yes, there are so many memories of you growing up - Daisy Scouts, Synchronized Swimming, Lightshines, the saxophone, and cheerleading.  You've grown into a wonderful daughter, wife, and mother.  We are blessed to have you in our lives!

I (Mama LoveBug) know you are a very loyal Hicksville Ace's Fan so I made you a paper brooch to wear at the kids' events - can you spot the LoveBug Creations White Simply Sheer?

Next, I spent a lot of time viewing tutorials to learn to make a 3-D paper armoire - can you spot Mama's Mesh and our new Dahlia rumple ribbon? Like the faux drawer and the handmade buttons?
And what's an armoire without a tag - the new greeting card for the b-day gal? Do you see the new Blue Bells rumple ribbon too?
You are truly Queen for the Day!!

We hope you like your gifts!
Happy Birthday - there will be paddlings with the cheeseboard later and potato soup to make it better!!.....LOL
Bye from Missy and Mama!
Our next surprise blog spot to check out is with the "flower guru" TANYA
