12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop - Day 3

Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop.

Hi, Crafties, Mama LoveBug here - last year I created a 12 Days of Christmas Count Down and I'm doing the same this year too.  The difference is I have a Cameo, so many of my projects will be cut with this awesome machine, but all will feature images from Digi My World's 12 Days of Christmas.  These are not huge projects, but when you collect them all together at the end, they can be used as table decor for decorating a holiday gathering or office party.  By the end of our 12 days I'm betting you'll know this song by heart!!

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me Three French hens,

And a partridge in a pear tree! (day 1)

Gotcha - Tanya - Surprise ♥

Welcome Every Buggie and Surprise to Tanya!!

Tomorrow is the birthday of our CT Tanya, who told us she did not want any fuss made for this occasion.  Well, we told her “sure, no fuss”!!  Wrong………how could we not do something to surprise her on her big day, but we thought it would be an even bigger surprise to design some projects just for her and post them the day before………..hope we really “got her” and she enjoys our craftiness.

Tanya is the guru of so many papercrafting things, but the one that really stands out to me (Mama LoveBug) is her flower making – stellar and stunning!  If you have ever seen her work, I know you’d agree………AND not only is she a gifted crafter but a super-duper friend and a truly wonderful person........so here’s to Tanya………may you have a dynamite birthday tomorrow……….we love ya!!

Harvesting Memories Blog Hop

Next week as we prepare to enjoy the traditional turkey feast or a non-traditional meal like spaghetti and meatballs (yes we did that one year), we should all ponder the blessings and joy we have in our everyday lives.

I am thankful for wonderful parents, a devoted husband, delightful daughters, and of course, our magnificent seven grandchildren.  I am grateful for a full-filling 38 years as an educator and my engaging “retirement” job working with my other passion – genealogy!  I am blessed to be a part of LoveBug Creations while designing projects for all the super craftie pals I’ve met along this journey! My first set of projects is all about table decor - I used a Cameo cut of a darling turkey resting on a pilgrim hat for a centerpiece at my table.  Then I fashioned a place card for each guest with a matching turkey and a "turkey" lollipop topper for the plate.  I love carmel-apple suckers for this!

Here I used LoveBug Creations Simply Sheer to add a bit of sass to my turkey double-sided table decor and lots of Stickles.

I fashioned LoveBug Creations Mama's Mesh on the pilgrim hat of the lollipop and a swatch of matching Mama's Mesh tied for the table card plus a sunflower sticker and colorful gobble stickers  - orange checkerboard paper from my paper stash plus kraft paper for the base of the table decor - if you want to write or computer-generate a name for each guest, this could be a decorative name plate as well (or a take home bookmark).

And of course I made several Thanksgiving cards for the occasion as well - stamps, leaf and flower punches, patterned paper for criss-cross style card, LBC Simply Sheer Ribbon, and lots of love:

Thanksgiving is just a week away!  EEK!  I have been toying with different ideas for place cards and this is a great one.   I used Mama's Mesh, which is one of my favorite products.  These place cards are super easy to make.  They measure 4" x 2.5".  I really like how this turned out.  Please be sure to visit my blog for more details on how they were made.

I am finally getting caught up on my layouts for 2010.
Here is one for Christmas featuring fabulous Rumple Ribbon in Simply White.

 

 

I used the Rumple Ribbon as a border around the middle two photos to help offset them from the red background and added some red brads poked right through the ribbon for some added fun.
