Good Monday, Crafties. It's Mama LoveBug's day to share some delightful pattern piecings from PPbN using ice cream cones and Uno elements as the centerpieces from Paper Piecings by Nikki - check out her lovely, unique patterns at http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/
My first projects for today are "What's the Scoop" for a female and a male. I fussy cut the patterns and added gel-pens and Stickles for some definition to each cone. I made a bow for the girl cone using 3 Girl Jam's bow maker and a button with twine for the guy cone. The paper for each pocketcard was from my paper stash AND the base of each pocket I designed with a PPbN sun. The sentiments were from Pink By Design - What's The Scoop and It's Your Birthday!!
Hope you enjoy my cards for today and check out PPbN's patterns, her unique acrylic stamps, and other treats!
As an additional project today, I made some bookmarks using the You're My Numero Uno set. I have made cards with this collection as well but the sentiments from Pink By Design just spoke to me when I fashioned these bookmarks. If you look closely you'll see I also made paper from the Wild Card, which is part of this set as well.
Thanks for taking a moment to check out my projects........remember no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it..........cyberhugs.........Mama LoveBug

Paper Hoarders DT Sunglasses Projects
So our premise today at the Paper Hoarders DT slot was to create something with sunglasses/something bright as the theme. Tanya, our PH guru, has a listing of all the DT offerings on her blog at http://scrappinkymomma.blogspot.com/ so check out the other talented "shades" today.
Mama LoveBug up first today with a perpetual birthday/any special days calendar. I used DCWV Sunglasses paper and fussy cut some darling beach bears and a Bahama Mama bear from Paper Piecings by Nikki - 3 different collections that go together. I also gold-embossed some beach props and added Stickles and gel-pens for accent. Here's a perpetual calendar to share One Fine Day with someone as a sunny treat!
Hi there!!!
Wasn't Mama's project ADORABLE??? So cute and creative!! :)
For my project I made a shadow box! It started off black so I painted it blue...then added some crackle medium and repainted it green! LOVE THE EFFECT (however not sure you can really see it in the picture!
For the outside I used the Tim Holts "Tattered Florals" die for the flowers as well as Stampin' UP! Brights Collection Paper. I added some twine that I actually got out of the packaging from a toy!
For the inside I used an Imaginisce Stamp and the SU!Brights Collection Ink to make my background. I computer generated the Wood Sign and Lettering. I popped them up on pop dots to make it stick out a little more! I hope you enjoy my shadow box!!!
Now don't forget to leave us some love & check out all the other Paper Hoarder DT Members! :)
Bug hugs,
Kimi

Paper Piecings by Nikki DT Offering - Your Sty Or Mine??
Good Monday, Crafties. Mama LoveBug aka DT Pam on the Paper Piecings by Nikki DT is sharing a card with you today using a new pattern collection which is all about pigs, hot dogs, and burgers! This set is just too oinkin' awesome! The pattern is called Piggin' Out and can be found at the PPbN online store at http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/
All summer long my husband and I have enjoyed grilling out - have you a favorite grill-out treat?? While I must confess to being partial to steaks, we do enjoy the burgers and hot dogs too!!
My first task was to come up with a few original sentiments - Your Sty or Mine and Hot Dog: Let's Pig Out Together - I actually added the word Forever to this card because I made it for our anniversary, that pops up at the end of this month.
After fussy cutting the pigs and making a pocket card for a base and insert, I added gel pen highlights and used my new 3 Girl Jam Bow Maker and crinkly ribbon for the top pig (that's me). I am bow-challenged but this very inexpensive but delightful bow maker helped me to produce a desired bow using this dynamite ribbon. I can't praise either product enough!! I am (excuse the pun) in crafty-hog heaven!! I added a few embellies like buttons and twine and voila..........Your Sty Or Mine
Here's a picture of the complete file so you can see all the possibilities for your crafting imagination.
AND if you're of a mind to enjoy a papercrafting version of Survivor, hop on your imaginary yacht (hey might as well dream big time) and sloop over to Paper Craft Island at http://papercraftisland.blogspot.com/ for a chance to join the stranded Dirty Dozen as they display their talent to become Season 1's Paper Craft Island winner.
Hope you enjoyed the card and today's message - remember no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it!! Cyberhugs............Mama LoveBug

Paper Hoarders DT Offering - You Keep Us In Stitches
Welcome to Paper Hoarders DT spot. LoveBug Creations is happy to participate in You Keep Us In Stitches! Today we celebrate the invention of the sewing machine.
Tanya, our PH guru, has a listing of all the DT offerings on her blog at http://scrappinkymomma.blogspot.com/
so check out the other talented "sewers" today.
Mama LoveBug is up first - hey when they stop making safety pins, I'm in trouble. I'm not a sewmaster but I do appreciate all those who do, including my mother! You know when I was in the 7th grade I failed the home ec exam because I couldn't identify the parts of the sewing machine - we didn't have one! All the sewing that went on at my house was done by hand!!
Anyway, here is my pocket card for a true sewer: Sew Amazing!
This is the base of the card.
This is the insert.
I used several sewing stamp sets - I stamped, gold embossed, and colored in some of images with colored pencils, markers, and a few Stickles here and there. The paper was from my stash and I cut and pieced several designs to the insert and the base of the pocket. Happy Sewing Machine Day!
HI EVERYONE!!!
Wasn't Mama's card "sew" terrific??? Love it!!!
Ok I wanted to share with you all a card I made! For some reason I found this very difficult so I went pretty literal with it! All the cuts are from various cricut carts!! I hope you enjoy!

DT Offering for Paper Piecings by Nikki - Hippos and Geeks
Good Monday Crafties. Today I (Mama LoveBug aka Pam) have two projects to share with you from new PPbN collections - A Refreshing Summer Treat and I Love My Geek. Swing over to Nikki's online store and check these cuties out at http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/
The first is a pocket card I made for some family friends who are celebrating a big anniversary. The hippos in this collection are so sweet and the watermelon looks so yummy. I made paper from the watermelon image, fussy cut the hippos and added some bling. I cut out a bow which matches the watermelon green and added a few more flourishes. My sentiments - Perfect Pair, Congratulations, and Simply the Best are from Pink By Design.
Here's the Hippos in Love Card
My second project is a set of bookmarks using the Geek theme - I have several friends who are definitely part of my personal geek squad - love technology when it works, but when it needs a bit of troubleshooting, I know who to call.
Here's some bookmarks I fashioned - again fussy cut the desk and computer and then covered the desk with some patterned paper. I then fussy cut the "geeks" and added some sparkle. The sentiment - Have a Megabyte Day is again from Pink By Design. Those glasses really crack me up!
Remember, no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it.......cyberhugs......Mama LoveBug.

Christmas in July Blog Hop
WELCOME
to the Christmas in July Blog Hop – Mama LoveBug aka Pam is very pleased to be
a hop spot for this event.
Angela - http://creativecraftin.blogspot.com/
Amanda - http://a-prata-design.blogspot.com/
Robin - http://scrapandchat.blogspot.com/ NEXT
The premise of the hop is to showcase a Christmas card that can be created quickly. Well, I don’t know if my project fits the bill but I’ll let you judge for yourself.
Today I’m sharing a card using
Stampin’ Up punches and paper.
This can be done in assembly line fashion to create a cute and memorable
little card.
Here are the instructions:
1. Make the following card pieces from punches – I used SU punches but you could use others if you have something that works as well
Quantity/Color/Punch/Use
1 White XL Oval (base of face)
1 Red XL Oval/Embossed (hat)
1 White Ornamental (could use heart punch embossed) (beard)
2 White Bird Wing (mustache)
1 Silver Glitter ½” Circle (embellie for hat)
1 Blush or Bridal Pink Large Oval (face)
2 Black Owl (eyes)
1 Blush or Bridal Pink Owl (nose)
1 Red Owl (mouth)
1 Green 2 ½” Circle (base of entire created image)
2. Cut the following papers – you could make this bigger if you’d like
1 red 3” x 8”
2 white 3 ¾” x 3 ½”
3. Grab supplies
*white gel pen
*glue runner
*pop dots or mini dots
4. Assemble your card base of the red with each of the 2 white rectangles – one for front and one for inside
5. Adhere your pieces to create the Santa and use pop dots to “make Santa pop up or stand out” and adhere to card front
6. Pick a sentiment that is your favorite – I used SU “A Very Merry Christmas To You” and stamp it below Santa image – you could use this again for inside, switch to another sentiment, or leave it blank and write in your own special message
7. There you have a quick, assembly line Christmas card…..again if you don’t have the punches, you could cut these shapes out on a machine such as Cricut; Sizzix also has some Christmas dies that might also work for the image of this card or something like it.
This is a close-up of the card face
This is a pic of the card opened up and the last is what you start off with
BEFORE you leave please become a LoveBug Creations fan and/or love a comment to be in the running for Ashley's blog candy................cyberhugs.............Mama LoveBug
Next on the program check out - Robin - http://scrapandchat.blogspot.com/
