Don't Mess With A Princess!!

This project started with the sentiment and evolved into a banner for the hop.  I used a Julie Nutting doll stamp and fashioned some handmade flowers for embellies.  I used liquid pearls for further texture and glitz on the princess dress.

The crown was stamped as well as the two sentiments for interest on the doll as a focal point for the banner.

The doll and the hair were stamped once; the dress was stamped twice.  All were fussy cut and pieced together. Then I mounted her on a piece of cardboard for sturdiness and cut once again. The hair was glossy-accented for shine.

I just followed along the dress lines with the liquid pearls.  I finished my project with a piece of pink ribbon for the handle.

C - crafty clever gal
O - one-of-a-kind blog hostess
N - never leaves you hanging
N - nice person inside and out
I - imaginative and fun blog themes
E - enormous paper crafting talent!!

I have had the immense pleasure of knowing Connie for several years as a wonderful crafting pal and so I am honored to be in this hop to wish her a very heartfelt happy birthday!

Every Girl Has A Wild Side
For this project I decided to use a Scruffy Little Cat Stamp, my new alcohol-ink markers from Prima, some pearl stickles, a Tim Holtz die, SU cardstock, watercolor paper, and some LoveBug Creations Private Reserve Rumple Ribbon for this card.  The girl stamp is the focal point and the die (actually the reverse) became a sort of fence with her in the background.

It started with this -

and that -

The coloring began -

Well, I could have stopped here, but what would be the fun in that?? I used a glitter pen to accent the elements and some pearl stickles for texture and color.  The next step was to place the Happy Birthday "fence" in front and then add some more bling to the card.

And the finished card is here -

Hi - I'm Mama LoveBug and Let's Celebrate was the theme I used for this Black Tie Affair Blog Hop. This theme covers many events such as weddings, formal dances, showers, retirement or promotion party, reunions, and the arrival of a new baby to name a few.

I decided to make a banner for these types of celebrations and used one of my favorite Julie Nutting Doll Stamps as the focal point.  I started with some beautiful pink paper from my stash to cover the banner form and added several sentiments and several handmade flowers as well as a few pearl embellies on the doll's formal.  I finished off the project with a beautiful heart ribbon, which functioned as the hanger for the banner.

Here are several pictures to give you an idea of things to employ if you wish to make such a banner to celebrate a "classy" occasion in your life.

A few points on the doll - I stamped her body once, her hair once, and her dress twice.  I fussy cut the pieces and then assembled them by adhering each to the body.  Next I adhered the doll to a piece of cardboard to give her stability.  I then took pearl accents and placed them down the dress (pink) and across the bodice (white) for sparkle and dimension.  Her hair has a coat of glossy accent for more shine.

A few points on the handmade flowers - these were from a stamp/die set from Heartfelt Creations.  I stamped, cut out with the matching die, shaped the flower petals, glued them together to form the flowers, and added a spot of pearl glue in the center.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas!

I fashioned my project using multiple strips of 1/2" x 12" paper to create the base for a Christmas ornament. I used an ornament diecut for the top of the base, a Mrs Santa digital stamp, Graphic 45 paper for the strips, some flowers, a festive sentiment, LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon for the tie, and scraps of Ohio State paper (I'm a Buckeye) to make a unique tree hanging.  Here's some pictures of the project:

I had so much fun putting this together that I thought - why not do a couple more using Julie Nutting doll stamps as the focal image - one 3-D with lots of fussy cutting and paper piecing and the other stamped and colored with watercolor pencils.

Christmas Blessings from my home to yours!!

HeeHaw!

Get these boots a-movin!!
With a few tools like the cowgirl doll stamp from Julie Nutting, I fussy cut, paper pieced, and glossy accented my doll to get ready for this hop.  I decided to try a new product (for me), gelli plating - mono-printing! This is super fun and great for making the actual card background and matching envelope for the card.

After gelli plating, I took the print (after it dried) and cut out a card shape (pennant style) with my Cameo.  I then made the envelope with the We R Memory Envelope Punch Board.  A few bits of glitter glue, a piece of LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon, some twine, pearls, sentiment stamp from Pink By Design, and velcro for the envelope to provide closure finished off my project.

Here are some pictures - hope you enjoyed my HEEHAW creation.
