Mama LoveBug & Dawn Rene's Sneak Peekaboo

Hi Crafties!  This is the LoveBug Creations CT Sneak Peek Week - (say that fast three times).......Each day members of the CT will showcase aka tease you with a specific color from our new Rumple Ribbon Spring Collection.  Since this is my shared blog (with daughter Kimi), I can let you in on the name of my ribbon color but for others on the CT, you need to check out their blogs for the scoop.

I actually made two sneakers (one is even wearing sneakers!!).  My first project is a bookmark but you could use it as a gift tag too.  I love to read, so I found this a useful project for myself.  My second project is a double-sided stand-up card for one of my besties at work.

My LBC Rumple Ribbon spring color is Oh Darling!
For the bookmark I threaded the ribbon and made a bow at the top; my focal image was a lovely heart from Loralie Designs; the sentiment is from a Dr. Seuss quote collection online.

For the sneaker girl I used a cutie from button girls by Treasure Box.

During the sneak peek week you can have a chance to win any two colors from the LBC Rumple Ribbon spring collection, but unfortunately, this blog candy has to remain in the USA.  So if you've a yen for some rumple ribbon, here's what you need to do:

Welcome to Day 2 of Lovebug Creations Sneak Peek Week. This is Dawn Rene Carlyle from Designs By Dawn Rene. I just joined the Lovebug Creations' creative team. I am very honored to be a part of the fabulous group of gals that get to play with the beautiful Lovebug Creations Rumple Ribbons. This week we are highlighting the new spring ribbons that go on sale February 24th. I created this friendship easel card using one of the new ribbons for fun bow. Sneak Peek Day #1

 

Hello Lovebug friends! Stephanie here today to share my first post as a member of the LBC CT. I am so excited to be on this adventure!! These ribbons are gorgeous and oh so fun to play & craft with.
I made a mini album to display older photos of my daughter that were taken by a wonderful photographer and great friend of mine.

Smash and Marilyn with LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon

Mama LoveBug here - I love the TV show, Smash, and its Marilyn Monroe theme so I channeled Marilyn for some crafty mojo to create a double-sided stand-up card using Marilyn.  Her famous song quote - "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" gave rise to a switch of my own - Friends Are A Girl's Diamonds.

This Marilyn is a digi stamp from Simply Betty.  I printed her out twice, flipping in a horizontal pattern to get the front and the back.  Then I colored her with pencils, gel pen, and Stickles for highlighting.  I printed out my sentiment, fussy cut the digi and then adhered her to white cardstock and fussy cut her again per each side (a whole lot of fussy cutting going on here).  I made a little stand for her and then designed the double bow.

I made a double bow from our Rumple Ribbon for sweetie, Marilyn.  These ribbon strands were from one of the special Valentine collections - Red Hot Lovers Rumple Ribbon.

Hey Everyone! I'm so excited to be able to share this info with you today. My first project with LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon. I made some Valentine bookmarks and used the Panther Pink Rumple Ribbon from this set.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is a day for love ... not only to recognize those people you love, but how about acknowledging some of those things you love, too?

 

I L♥VE paper crafting, I can't deny it! I'm a hoarder of all things crafty, and I will never stop. :) One of my very favorite things is the new Rumple Ribbons by Lovebug Creations.

 

 

Of course, Rumple Ribbons can be tied into a bow. But did you know you can make things out of your ribbon to work as embellishments on your cards or scrapbook layouts? For example, take a look at these beautiful Caddy Blue roses! To make them, just lay a line of glue along one edge of your Rumple Ribbon and roll and fluff the petals. Easy-peasy!

 

For more information on the products used to make this card, please check out my blog post earlier this week. I made this card for my daughter, Emily who is not only my FAVORITE daughter, she's my only child, so I can play favorites, for sure! Happy ♥ Day!
