Paper Piecings by Nikki Blog Hop - Let's Get Organized

Welcome to the Paper Piecings by Nikki DT Blog Hop - Let's Get Organized.  If you hopped over from Linda
you're on the right track, but if you stumbled onto the hop you might want to begin with Nikki

For a chance to get "with it" in 2013 the PPbN DT's are showcasing ideas on creating some practical projects that deal with the organization of something.

Mama LoveBug is up first today - I was once the woman who took my old calendar and faithfully re-recorded all the important dates on my new calendar...........not any more!! It's such a waste of time when one has a perpetual calendar to record one time the important dates of life (b-days, anniversaries, etc), so with that in mind, I made a Berry Sweet Perpetual Calendar using one of my personal favorite PPbN pattern collections, the Peanut Butter and Jelly Collection

The first 2 pictures show the finished project and the top portion of the calendar:
I fussy cut the peanut, the berry jar, and the sandwich parts.  After constructing the base of the calendar with strawberry paper, I highlighted the elements with a gel pen and added Stickles for glitz.  I stamped out several strawberries and the sentiment.  I added an action wobble on the sandwich parts so Mr. Peanut Butter and Jelly will wobble (fun element).  Lastly, I used LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon in two spots for more fun!!

Here's the bottom portion of the calendar.
Hope you enjoyed my project.  What else could you make with this collection, aside from layouts and cards - well, how about a photo album cover, a journal, or a recipe box.  There are lots of ways to organize your file folders with these patterns.  Also let's not forget jars or containers to hold your crafty "stuff".  The possibilities are endless!  For more info on this style of calendar you can go to Perpetual Calendar Photos

Remember, no matter how you piece your paper and rumple your ribbon, have fun with it........cyberhugs......Mama LoveBug.

HI EVERYONE!!!!
Kimi here and I am quite possibly the MOST disorganized person I know...Esp when it comes to what I need to make for what Blog Hop/Challenge/Posting Day... So with that in mind I made two cute little notepads to help me remember my important crafty dates!

I used the PPbN Love Bears cutting file, paper from SherryK Designs, some pearls, plain white cardstock, my trusty Bind-It-All and my absolute favorite Lovebug Creations Rumple Ribbon in Strawberry Love & Dark Chocolate!

Be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win a free file of your choice from PPbN online store

Make sure to 'like' Paper Piecings By Nikki on facebook and to check her store each day for a fabulous freebie!  Also, did you know that Nikki has lowered her prices???  Yes, she sure did.  You will find everything in her store is just .99 everyday!  If you haven't tried her files yet - now is the time.  No matter what program or cutter you use, you will find a file extension to use in each and every pattern.

Thanks so much for hopping along with us...Do you have a organizational tip?  Please let us know what it is!

Next we'll send you on to Barb

Maybe i just need to take my perpetual calendar to my craft room and LOOK at it instead of having it by my bedroom door. Just realized it's only 5 FIVE days till my BFF birthday, i haven't made her card, and i have to mail it. OOOps. Now, if i was organized, it would be a big deal. Thanks for sharing your great ideas
