Triple Stamp Card Blog Hop - A Card Making Technique

Welcome to the Triple Stamp Card Blog Hop.  Have you hopped over from Rebecca at http://blog.scrapprincess.com/  If so, you're on the right path; if not, check out the line up to get on the correct path.
The hop line up is as follows:
Ashley - http://thebloghopprincess.blogspot.com  HOP HOSTESS
Jamie - http://jamiek711designs.blogspot.com/
Rebecca- http://blog.scrapprincess.com/ PREVIOUS
Pam - http://lovebugcreations3.blogspot.com/  HERE
Kate - http://www.scrapperscreativecorner.blogspot.com/ NEXT
Tonya M - http://ittybittyladybugs.blogspot.com

Ashley W - http://marinewifesscrappinlife.blogspot.com
Michele - http://michelescraftroom.blogspot.com/

It's always great to learn a new technique (definitely new to me) that makes such an impact on my papercrafting mojo.  This technique is so addictive that I've made dozens of these for various projects, hops, and customer purchases.  I want to thank our blog hostess, Ashley, for setting up this event, which I hope you enjoy, and for enabling me to be a triple stamper!!  Ashley has some BLOG CANDY so be sure to check out her directions on that!!

First I'll give you the dimensions and some info on how to use this technique to make a card of your own:

Dimensions for the stamped layers - 1 each
2" x 3-1/4"
3" x 4-1/4"
4" x 5-1/4"
Dimensions for the cardstock mat layers - 1 each
2-1/4" x 3-1/2"
3-1/4" x 4-1/2"
5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (fold for card base to get a great crease)

For me it was very helpful to have this dimension guide - no guess work!!

The above info and a wonderful tutorial can be found at

I also found that it's great to have at least one nice-sized stamp that will stamp across the triple layers!

Next, I'll share with you several different event-type triple stamped cards that I made.

The first four cards I'm sharing today all used the basic recipe:
*SU sentiments from various collections
*SU cardstock - one used patterned paper for the layer mats and base
*SU stamp inks in a variety of colors
*Ribbon and/or twine and/or decorative brad
*SU confetti cream for each of the stamped layers - I just learned that SU discontinued the confetti cream and the confetti white paper.........bummer!!

My daughter is a Stampin Up Independent Demonstrator and through the years I've purchased LOTS of supplies.  This technique was the stimulus for me to reacquaint myself with some SU products I had in my crafty arsenal! However, other stamps and card stock can be equally engaging for this technique.

This was my very first triple stamped card.

My birthday was last week, so I made this card to post on my FB page and currently it's my FB comment identifier.  Thanks - I love being spoiled!

I had so much fun doing these cards and many others.  You can add digi stamps, paper piecings, and Action Wobbles to name just a few extras for a bit of whimsy. Also, you can use patterned mats to separate the layers - use your imagination. A heavier card stock for the base allows the card to be free-standing.

These last two cards were made for another posting, but you'll get the idea - the one on the left used patterned mat layers with a PPbN image and the one on the right used the same PPbN image on an Action Wobble.  The stamps were from Peachy Keen.

If you've a mind, become a follower; if you'd like to leave a comment or a question, please do so!

Remember, no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it.......cyberhugs...........Mama LoveBug.

I'm sending you on to Kate

Paper Piecings by Nikki DT Offering - Gobble, Gobble

Good Craftiness to You.  With Halloween almost out of the way, Mama LoveBug is looking forward to the next holiday event - Thanksgiving!  While I am not a "turkey person" (prefer ham), I do enjoy all the other tasty treats of that feast - mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc.

While Thanksgiving may not be a time for most people to exchange cards (it is in my world), it is a time to have a nice table filled with great food and lovely decor so here's my take on that.........a tag to serve as a place card and some cute turkey suckers to color up the plate.

Paper Piecings by Nikki has a Thanksgiving pattern collection called You Gooble Up My Heart that fits the bill for colorful and fun table decor.  Her 24/7 online store is located at http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/
There's a wonderful array of patterns for other occasions as well.

Remember, no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it..........cyberhugs........Mama LoveBug!

Paper Piecings by Nikki DT Offering - Zombie Suckers

Hello Crafties!  Are you getting ready for Halloween?  What a great treat to have Zombie Suckers on hand to pass out to the trick or treaters!  Paper Piecings by Nikki has an adorable pattern collection with everybody’s favorite blood sucker – Zombies!!  If you want some zombie magic, head over to the PPbN online store open 24-7 for these very unique patterns at http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/

This collection is called Zombie Love.  So with that in mind Mama LoveBug made Zombie Suckers – a whole boxful to pass out.  I printed out the zombie boy and girl and punched out each one after adding a punched out spider and adhered the zombie to a 2” circle (also punched out using Halloween paper).  Next I adhered each one to an “already-wrapped sucker.”  All Halloween treats must be wrapped for the child's protection! Good licking!!

Thanks for swinging by and remember, no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it……….cyberhugs……….Mama LoveBug

Paper Piecings by Nikki Fall Celebrations Hop

Welcome to the PPbN Design Team Fall Celebrations Hop.  Today we (Kimi and Mama from LoveBug Creations) are showing off some projects to get you in the groove for some autumn fun.

The hop line up is as follows:
Nikki - www.paperpiecingsbynikki.blogspot.com
Patti - www.pattilynncreations.blogspot.com

We were asked to step out of our comfort zone and try something new so I (Mama) decided to create some triple-stamped Halloween cards – they are so much fun to make and each one can be different from the next!

PPbN recently posted a scavenger hunt-style "freebie" of a cat in a pumpkin – did you locate it within the online store at http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/

A closer picture of the two cards - can you spot the differences??  Both were fussy cut and gel-pen highlighted for extra dimension.  The "pumpkin kitty" on the right is on an Action Wobble!

This little character has some ribbon to dress up the card and patterned paper for each layer.

This card uses only solid-colored SU cardstock for each of the mat layers - both were stamped with Halloween stamps from Peachy Keen.  The inks were orange and black.........traditional Halloween colors!  For the stamped layers I used Confetti Cream by SU.

Hi everyone!!! For my project I (Kimi) used Nikki's "You Gobble Me Up" pattern! I cut out this little cutie, made some pattern paper from part of the title, added a wobble (cause who doesn't love some movement on a card?!?!?) and then tried something I've never done! I made the sign! It was a lot easier then I thought it would be!! Added some ribbon and it was good to go! I thought it turned out super cute and my little turkey boy doesn't want to be eaten!!! :)
Enjoy!

Now for some fun!!! After you've hopped through our design team's amazing projects, come back to www.paperpiecingsbynikki.blogspot.com and link up your own fall celebrations project. The rules are simple.

1) Make a fall celebrations project using a file from Paper Piecings By Nikki

Paper Piecings by Nikki DT Offering - Happy Birthday

Hello Crafties!  For today’s Paper Piecings by Nikki DT offering, I designed a Happy Birthday card for my grandson, Mason, who’ll be five in a few weeks.  I used a combination of several PPbN products for this pocket card:

Boys and Their Toys Cutting File – boy with the train
Falling 4 You Cutting File – the happy sun
You R My Sunshine Acrylic Stamp Set – gold-embossed the You R My Sunshine stamped sentiment

The PPbN online store is open 24-7 at http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/

I added some fun “boyish” paper, fussy cut the images and gel-highlighted them for definition.

As you can see, there are so many ways to create fun, unique cards with PPbN collections – your imagination has limitless scope!

Remember no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it!..............cyberhugs………Mama LoveBug

Link up for Pink 2012

Good morning everyone!!! Today I want to share with you the card I made for Link up for Pink 2012! I couldn't let Mama have all the fun (if you haven't seen her LUFP post click HERE!)

So I made this card, showed it to my hubby when he got home and the first thing he said is "Can I have this one?" Sure I said..Turns out there is a lady he works with that has been cancer free now for a year and he knew she'd love this! (ps...She did!!!!)

So here it is...

For this card I used the "Fight Like a Girl" pattern from Paper Piecings by Nikki. I just love this set! Since I do not own a machine to do my cutting I never end up using the titles Nikki makes..and I thought..what a shame! So I figured out a way to use it to make some pattern paper...and I LOVE the way it turned out! Added some bling to the ribbon (pink of course!) and a computer generated sentiment! Of course this gal has to move so action wobble it is!! I love love love this card. To be honest I think this is probably my favorite thing I've made lately!

So there you have it! I hope it inspires you to get Nikki's "Fight Like a Girl" set and make something for Link Up For Pink 2012!!!

Bug Hugs,
Kimi

Paper Piecings by Nikki DT Offering - Fight Like A Girl

Happy Crafting Day to You!  Today I want to talk about a very serious topic - Breast Cancer.  I bet you all know at least one person who has been touched by this and with your crafting talent, you want to bring a bit of sunshine to that person - so here's an idea for you (actually several ideas)!!
Link It Up Pink http://www.linkupforpink.com/

Paper Piecings by Nikki has a wonderful cut file called Fight Like A Girl.  I used that file to make several different projects which I call the Breast Cancer Awareness Pack.  Here's what I made:

1.  Two different Breast Cancer Awareness Brooches, each with the image from PPbN.  These brooches could be worn on a jacket, a shirt, on a purse, etc - use your imagination.  Have a fashionista in your circle of friends who wants to make people aware of this cause??

2.  Two different Breast Cancer Awareness Book Marks, each with the image from PPbN - all glitzzed up with gel pens for added dimension - have a reader in your circle of friends who would appreciate the thought??

3. One Breast Cancer Awareness Lollipop - as you'll see in the picture I have plenty of room to make and send more but I wanted you to get the idea.  I took my favorite sucker, Caramel Apple, and added a bow cut out of a Sizzix die and added the PPbN image, glitzzed up and ready for gifting!  Have someone who wants to Fight Like A Girl against the Big C??

Together Let's Lick Cancer!!
You can find this file and so much more at the PPbN store - http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/

Remember, no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it........cyberhugs.........Mama LoveBug!
