Happily Ever After Blog Hop – Day 3

Welcome to the Happily Ever After Blog Hop. This blog hop runs from May 1 – May 4.

LoveBug Creations is very proud to be a part of this four day event.

If you are coming from April:http://www.curlsngrins.blogspot.com/ you’re on the right track.
If you just joined us, you can go back to the beginning HERE
Lisa: http://honeybearzdesigns2011.blogspot.com/ and hop along with us.

You will see some lovely projects having to do with a wedding or anniversary theme and have a chance to win some blog candy along the way, including some grand prizes, which are being sponsored by Lisa from Honeybearz Designs. In order to be eligible for the grand prizes you must leave a comment on every blog in the hop and become followers to all the wonderful sponsors websites also.

Be sure to come back every day between May 1-May 4 because all blogs in this hop will post a new project each day. Lisa from Honeybearz Designs will be picking the grand prizewinners from all the comments left throughout the 4 days.

Here is a list of the complete lineup for this hop:
Kimi & Pamela: http://lovebugcreations3.blogspot.com/ - YOU ARE HERE
Scraps To Treasures: http://www.scraps2treasure.blogspot.com/  -YOUR NEXT STOP

Hopefully you all saw Kim's amazing Tim Holtz Configuration Box yesterday - if not, scroll down the page to Day 2.  If you scroll down even further, you'll see my wedding brooch from Day 1.  It's not too late to comment on either project - we heart comments!

Since Mama and Papa LoveBug will be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary on July 31, I (Mama LoveBug) wanted to see what the 40th anniversary symbol is so I googled and found out the traditional “color” is the ruby, which is lovely, but I prefer something more in the pink palette. I wonder if Papa Lovebug will take the hint – pink for Mama LB??

Wedding symbols demonstrate a need for us to connect with tradition but also to put our own “spin” on things. My project shows several traditional elements found in the wedding – the bridal gown, the groom’s tuxedo, the exchanging of rings, and the new names – Mr and Mrs. I found a stamp set that had all of these elements plus several more that I didn’t use.

Here is my card, which could be used for either a wedding or anniversary announcement or thank you.

Recipe for Project
*Pink Distressed Paper from Tim Holtz
* Whisper White Cardstock from SU – embossed and stickled
*Black striped ribbon
*Various punched shapes
*Stamp set with wedding symbols and sentiments
*Hot Pink Stickles and Frosted Lace Stickles (I heart stickles)

Before you leave - what’s a blog hop without blog candy? Well we’ve got some terrific chances for giveaways along the line. LoveBug Creations is offering a Wedding treat in the form of a Bride and Groom Sticker Set.  Think of all the possible crafty things you could do with this pair!

Here’s what you as our guest need to do:

1. Become a follower if you’re not – we heart fans!
2. Leave a comment with a way for us to notify you (if you win) and share the love! Please comment only once per day and do come back each of the four days of the hop; that means four chances to win. We heart international fans but our “Blog Candy” must unfortunately stay in the USA.
3. Winners of our blog candy will be posted on May 5. Random.org will choose the winner, winner, come to dinner!!

Your next stop on the Happily Ever After Blog Hop is Monica at Scraps To Treasures: http://www.scraps2treasure.blogspot.com/
