Welcome to the Fun In The Sun Blog Hop. If you strolled on the beach from LORI you are on the right path, but if you want to start at the beginning of the beach spots, surf over to our blog hostess, MIRANDA
Scrapping for Less is sponsoring a wonderful prize. A prize of your choosing. Scrapping for Less is a Facebook Scrapbook retail store where Teresa Russell sells scrapbook supplies...hot, trendy, current, and brand new to the market supplies at less than retail costs. It is basically a retail/pre-order group where you commit to ordering what is offered up for sale and then invoices are sent just a couple days before the stated order date. There are also typically current "items in stock" available for purchase also. Scrapping for Less is offering a $20 credit to the winner of the hop. You must comment on each stop in order to be eligible to win the credit. More info on this is at Miranda's beach front!
Fun In The Sun resonated the idea of outdoors, family/friends, reading, and food. I don't live near a beach, but that doesn't mean I couldn't arrange a set-up for an outdoor barbeque with reading pals! With that idea I designed several projects - one for my reading friends and one for a table decor.
Book Mark for Reading Pals - I love to read and do a lot of this each day - out on our covered front porch I can enjoy my past time no matter what the weather is like - sunny or rainy - it doesn't matter - time to curl up with a good book that will engage and entertain..........so here's a fun bookmark I made.
Recipe
*Specialty cardstock from our local craft store
*Kraft cardstock for the bookmark base
*SVG Cutting Files Kawaii Summer Clothing flip flops - the top one is adhered right onto the cardstock and the bottom is adhered on a dimensional to give texture; gel pens for accent - HERE
*Computer-generated sentiment - Do Not Disturb - WCPL Reading Zone (Williams County Public Library)
*LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon for a finishing touch bow - HERE
Table Decor for a Fun In The Sun Barbeque - I love whimsical projects so this little gal caught my eye and I knew I had to use her somehow in this hop. She's definitely a conversation piece.
Recipe
*Digital image from Paper Shelter - printed, fussy cut, gel-pens for accent, as well as Stickles - HERE
*She was cut out twice - one regular image and the other a horizontal reverse; I fussy cut these and then adhered each side to sturdy Kraft cardstock, which had to be fussy cut as well - that makes 4 cuttings to be adhered together to make a double-sided stand-up card or table favor. Of course the fun comes with the gel pens and the Stickles!
*LoveBug Creations Fun Footz chevron bow for her hair - HERE
