Welcome to the Mother's Day Blog Hop. If you've stopped over from Vicki you are on the right path but if you stumbled along this and want to begin at the hostess spot, go to Miranda
We're so happy you could join us today to honor Mothers, Daughters, Aunts or any other woman who has been a great influence in our lives! In addition to seeing a lot of awesome projects, there is some blog candy available too. Miranda will be giving away a Michael’s gift card. To be eligible for the blog candy, you are required to visit each stop in the hop and leave a comment! The winner will be announced Wednesday, May 15th on Miranda's blog!
Hurray for Mother's Day - it's a chance to show how much you care for your mother and use a little crafty-mojo to achieve your design. My mother is almost 91 so I'm blessed to still have her in my life. She is everything a mother should be and always has been...........so here's a triple-stamped card I made for her with a sentiment that is sooooooo true, some Kraft, DCWV, and SU whisper white paper plus flowers from my stamp stash. I added a two-toned bow which matches the stamped flowers - this is made from LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon.
Here are the triple-stamp dimensions for you:
Dimensions for the stamped layers - 1 each
2" x 3-1/4"
3" x 4-1/4"
4" x 5-1/4"
Dimensions for the cardstock mat layers - 1 each
2-1/4" x 3-1/2"
3-1/4" x 4-1/2"
5-1/2" x 8-1/2" (fold for card base to get a great crease).......and have lots of fun stamping and decorating
Two of our daughters are mothers so I also made a double-sided stand-up card to commemorate our relationship - Sherri Baldy has a terrific Bestie digi for this occasion. I printed this out 2x - once in reverse horizontal; fussy cut; colored; blinged a bit with Stickles and gems, and topped the card off with some LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon. Since I am the pearl-lover in our LoveBug family, I had to use one to represent me......pearl girl mama!
I have to confess that until my daughter and I started to make our hand-dyed rumple ribbon, I never really utilized ribbon very much, but now, I find I'm using rumple ribbon on everything. It just gives my projects an extra-special zing, and now that we are selling Mama's Mesh, I'm going crazy with all the possibilities of creating things with that as well. I bet you know what I mean - whatever special product you grab, time after time, it just makes you smile!!
Remember no matter how you piece your paper and rumple your ribbon, have fun with it....cyberhugs........Mama LoveBug.
And now I'll send you on to see what's happening with talented Sandy
