Music Is Life Blog Hop

Welcome to the Music is Life Blog Hop

We sang our ABC's as children loud and off key!
We rocked out in our bedrooms with our friends to our favorite tunes.
We slow danced awkwardly to that memorable ballet with the boy we crushed on. We walked down the isle in to the wedding march as we married the man of our dreams. We sang a sweet lullaby to our babies as we rocked them to sleep. We sing our favorite songs as we drive the kids to school, annoying them the whole way! Yes, music is Life! It's everywhere in our lives!
Join us as we celebrate the wonderful Life of Music!!

The Lady of MUSIC!!
I know a church lady who is going to celebrate a very significant birthday later this month.  I designed a shadow box for her using one of my Julie Nutting doll stamps.  Since my friend is talented in both instrumental and vocal music, she will hopefully enjoy this token of warmest regards.

The materials that I used for this surprise are:
*Julie Nutting doll stamp - hand stamped, fussy cut, and assembled
*Music paper and card stock for the background, the handmade box, and, of course, the clothing, body/hair, and handmade flowers
*Jewels and other bling to bring some sparkle and delight
*Mama LoveBug private reserve LoveBug Creations Simply Sheer Ribbon
*A significant amount of time and effort to bring this shadow box to life

Here are some pictures of different parts of my shadow box, which has a magnet on the back of the box so it can be placed on a mirror or a refrigerator for display.

Next I finished up the project with a fancy straw and some music brads for the 4 corners.  These final pictures show you the project close up and on my display table.  I hope you liked The Music Lady!!

*Buttons to decorate the four corners of the box
*Bow formed from Mama LoveBug's private reserve of LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon
*Mama's Mesh in the background for the texture of sand

TO THE BAT CAVE ROBIN!!!
UP UP and AWAY!

My projects are based on an idea I saw online to make little note pads - in this case for the heroes in my life. Who doesn't want to be the recipient of a hero acknowledgement??

The starting point is to find some cute digi hero characters, check; then get the necessary materials in place, check!

I found corrugated cardstock in some hero-like bright colors and made tag shapes out of them using a set of dies.  I also used a glitter pen to highlight each hero after I fussy cutted them out. A sentiment - My Hero, My Everything - finished off the projects.

I made one full note pad using regular copy paper for the inside to show you the results.

The rest of the heroes are in a bundle so I can make more note pads as needed.

Here's the other ones for Heroing UP!!

Your destinations await you! Bon Voyage!

Bonjour To You
Did you know that France is the Number 1 travel destination in Europe?  A list of fun French facts can be found at FACTS if you have a mind to broaden your literacy on this country.

Three of my friends and I have always wanted to make a fantasy trip to France to see French fashions.
Wouldn't that be cool to soak in the sights, taste the cuisine, and shop til we drop??

Just for fun I made each fantasy - adventurer a keepsake of our dream.  Each will receive a bookmark when we next "do lunch" so here's what I designed.  The four bookmarks have some common elements and some that are different.

France #1

France #2

 France #3

France #4

I used Graphics 45 paper, Dylusions Couture Stamp for the dress forms and hats, Julie Nutting's armoire tags, flowers, straws, twine, LoveBug Creations Simply Sheer, some "French sayings" for sentiments, jewels, and the iconic Eiffel Tower stamp.  Dream away, my friends; perhaps next year!!

Actually, we are all going on a week-long research trip in August to Washington, DC, so our bags will be packed and we'll be enjoying fellowship while traveling in our own USA.
