I was given the challenge to create something black and purple over at FCCB this week so I figured why not make something fun that matches for my post here at LoveBug Creations too!!
I made some adorable Halloween Fridge Magnet Frames using (of course) 

Simply Black Mama's Mesh from LCB and some yummy Rumple Ribbons.

 

I cut the Mesh in half so I had a thinner strip and simply wrapped it around a part of the frame. I love the way it turned out. Topped it off with a Rumple Ribbon bow and a button. So cute! Now I just need to add some pics of my monsters and attach them to my fridge!!

Tongue twister for today - Frolicking with the Friday Frillies - say that 5x fast!!

Katie here........Check this out!!  A sweet shower favor.  I found the idea on Pintrest to give nail polish as the favor to guests.

 This favor might be the ONE that doesn't end up in the trash!!  I dressed the polish bottles up with a little cricut poodle and tied her on with some fabulous Simply White rumple ribbon.  Stop on by the blog :)

on my project.

Happy Fall, Ya'll - Mama LoveBug Style

Good Tuesday to you crafties!  It's Mama LoveBug with a fall center step card today.

Fall is such a warm and cozy time with rich shades of colors to play with - yummy oranges, yellows, reds, browns, greens, and various other non-traditional autumn hues; it also screams out for some grunge and that's what I designed for you today.

I cut this out on my Cameo and used a delightful crow image from an old file I had from PPbN - lots of crows, pumpkins, and apple baskets in that one. I put a row of black pearls on the front part of the step.  The center panel image has some gel glitter pen accents. The other embellies were pumpkin and leaf stickers plus a grungy bow for the basket made from the LBC Halloween Grunge collection see online store for more details - just the right color to spice up the card.

Fall is the time for colors and gratitude...

and lots and lots of leaves to rake!

Here, I cut up a Mama's Mesh in a variety of colors to create leaves falling

down the side of the card.  The brown and yellow are soon to be released colors.

But you can order Sunset, Green Leaves and Crazy Coral now!

Oh, and that bow... Purple-dise!

Just twirl it up a bit and it will roll up nicely!

Background on the Mad Hatter Day

The Mad Hatter, a fictional character depicted in Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, is always acting silly, so it's only fair and fitting to act a little silly yourself.  It's even ok to let a bit of silliness spill over into your crafting life as well. The selection of the day actually has merit as the Mad Hatter wears a top hat and on the front is a slip of paper with 10/6 written on it.  The slip is believed to be a hat order costing ten shillings and sixpence.  Since today is October 6, this has become the official Mad Hatter Day.
