Dawn Rene's Fabulous Ribbon Necklace ♥

Happy Monday! Dawn Rene with you today to share a necklace I made with Lovebug Creations rumpled ribbon and some scrap pieces of fabric. This necklace is a very easy to make. You take a couple strips of fabric and tie knots in it every couple inches. Then you do the same thing with the ribbon. I glued the ends of the ribbon and fabric into bead caps. The necklace closes with a toggle clasp.

I used the orange-yellowish ribbons from the Oh Cecilia Collection. They give the necklace a beautiful spring and summery feel!

Zeeeebra, The New Fun Footz

There once was a sweet Zeebra from a PPbN collection called Through Thick and Thin. He made friends with LBC's new Fun Footz Ribbon and decided to cheer up another friend who was feeling blue. Zeebra hustled over to his friendly Wal-Mart and found a little notebook for 50 cents and zipped back to ask Mama LoveBug to make something cheery for his friend..............Fun Footz found HERE

Well, crafty pals, I think you get the idea - a paper piecing, Wild Thang zebra patterned ribbon, a notebook to alter, an appropriate sentiment, some highlighting with a gel pen, a fun zebra flower sticker, and voila........a nice little gift for someone you care about.......I did swap out the generic ribbon that came with the notebook for something definitely more fun - and here is my project:

My project is a double-sided stand up card that can be used as a table favor. Uncle Sam Bear is a print and cut from the Silhouette Store. Since I'm a new Cameo owner, I've been experimenting with the print and cut feature and I absolutely am blown away with the precise cuts I get from this machine. I decorated the bear with a stamp - These Colors Don't Run (Pink by Design) and a triple bow I made from the Old Glory Set of LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon. I made a little circle to keep my bear in place using Mama's Mesh, also a LoveBug Creations product found HERE. Hurray for the RED, WHITE, and BLUE Uncle Sam Bear:

This is a double-sided stand up project using the following products:
*Digi Stamp from Paper Shelter called "Giraffe Gone Wild", which I printed, added shading with gel pens and Stickles; then I cut him out and adhered the piece to sturdy Kraft cardstock so he won't fall down; I make this type of card for a display case at my local library.
*LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon - Simply White for the base bow
*LoveBug Creations Fun Footz - Wild Thang collection for the giraffe top bow

So here's my project using the "Pink Camo"

I've been into making different shape cards so for this one I chose the

Side Stair Step!

This cutey patooty Cowgirl is one of Annie's (SVG Cutting Files) new Paper dolls!

I adore these! Buy the base set and then she has a TON of add on sets to dress em up!!!

This one just got added to her store today!!! I decked her out as a cowgirl and then used the skateboarding add on for her hair! I figured it looked perfect as cowgirl hair!

Then I added two Pink Camo Rumple Ribbon Fun Footz bows!!! Love it!!! Paired it with a sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Lunch Box Notes 2! A winning combo if you ask me!!!

And here's my little horse from the Sil Store with her "Pink Camo" Bow!

Check out my wire fence!! Would love to claim this idea as my own...

However.. it's not... the base shape of the card, wheel, skull, and fence are all from Cre8ive Cuts as was the video with the how to make the fence into a wire one.

Sneak Peek Day 5- Dawn Mercedes & Stephanie ♥

Dawn Mercedes Project!!

Today, I am sneak peeking a totally awesome new collection of Ribbons from Lovebug Creations! Who is wild about CHEVRONS!!!

This sentiment comes from Joy's Life: "My Hero" set.

While this set is filled with thoughtful praises, this "Totally Awesome" phrase reminded me of my 80's youth. So, I cut out a cassette tape (my favorite mix!!)...some loud neon colors...

added a Madonna-esque bow on that star...

and CHEVRON Ribbon! (But, back then, we called it ZigZags! lol)

Rumple Ribbon doesn't have to be so rumpled.

I thought keeping it smooth would really show off the fun patterns

that will be in stock tomorrow. So smooth, that you can easily decorate the inside of your card using this thin, patterned ribbon!
