Good Monday to Crafties! Today Mama LoveBug wants to show off a paper piecing collection from PPbN called Yummy Treats and Summer Sweets. This is just perfect for many occasions, but today's DT offering is all about birthdays!
First there is a darling little girl who would melt any heart; next there are several treats to use with her card - popsicles and a big ice cream scoop with a tasty cone!
I used one of the very first paper stacks from DCWV that I ever purchased called Sweet Treats. I fashioned a pocket card - base and insert from this paper. Here's what I did - fussy cut the elements I wanted from the PPbN collection (cut out the popsicles twice and layered them for more dimension), augmented them with glitter pens and Stickles, added sentiments from Pink By Design - What's the scoop and It's Your Birthday, and voila - the Sweet Treats card!

Card Insert
Like I said - she'd melt your heart. Check out this and the many other paper piecing collections at Paper Piecings by Nikki http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/
Remember, no matter how you piece your paper, have fun with it! ...........cyberhugs.........Mama LoveBug!

Paper Hoarders DT - Tell Us A Story
Good Morning, Crafties! Paper Hoarders is having some fun today with a theme of Tell Us A Story, so we of LoveBug Creations have an offering for this.
From Mama LoveBug: I absolutely love mysteries and enjoy the movie and board game Clue so I've made some bookmarks of the principal players in that as my project today. A long time ago I bought a paper piecing collection called Clue from Treasure Box Designs and used my fussy cutting skills (if I have any) to make these.
First I cut out Coordinations card stock using the appropriate colors. I used a punch on the individual characters after printing them off my computer as I don't own a machine for SVG. I also printed off the background in this set with the game pieces. I did a little research on the net to get a famous quote from the movie for each character and used my Spellbinders die to make a fancy plate for each quote up at the top. I also took a quote that symbolizes the game as a whole and adhered that to each bookmark. I added a little bling to each and had so much fun!
Here's the entire Clue gang - "who done it"? - I'll give you a hint- it's the character who's photo is slightly different than the others......LOL!

Kimi here...for my project I used the sketch Tanya gave us if we so wanted to use. She got it from Pagemaps and it will also be used as for this month's challenge in the Paper Hoarders Facebook Group! The winner will receive a fabulous prize so if you want to join the fun swing by Facebook! :)
For my book I picked "The Twilight Saga" by Stephanie Meyers. I'm sure you've heard of it. If not you should definitely check this series out! I love it! I see this as a layout Bella might have in her scrapbook! As I said I followed the sketch...Used "The Immortal Love" Stack from DCWV (LOVE THIS STACK!), some string, a button, and pearls from my stash and my cricut for the stamp shapes! I also used an excerpt from the "New Moon" book as my background image! Hope you've enjoyed our projects for today! Don't forget to leave us some love and swing by Tanya's Blog to see the wonderful projects our other DT members came up with!!!

Paper Piecings by Nikki DT Offering - Teacher Appreciation Pocket Card
Paper Piecings by Nikki has a too sweet ENORMOUS pattern
collection called The Princess Party, which can be found at her online store http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/
I created a Teacher Appreciation pocket card from the Snow White
character (holding an apple) and made my base of the card with the blue bird of happiness
character. Stickles, gel pens,
fussy cutting, and teacher sentiments from Pink By Design - Teachers Have Class and An Apple for the Teacher- melded into a card
for that special teacher in your life or in the life of your child. There aren’t too many days left before
the school year ends in NW Ohio, so if you wish to show appreciation for all
the teacher’s hard work/caring and sharing with your child – why not make a card for that educator OR better yet,
make several!!!
Here are some more pics of my Teacher Appreciation pocket card - the base and insert where you can write your own message on the back.
Thank you for stopping by and remember, no matter how you
piece your paper, have fun with it………….cyberhugs……….Mama LoveBug

Butterfly Love Tag- PH DT offering
Good Morning everyone!!! Guess what today is...It's my (Kimi) first day posting as a member of the Paper Hoarders Design Team! I couldn't be more excited about it!!! For today we were asked by our wonderful leader Tanya to make a project incorporating butterflies! How fun! Since I've recently moved I don't have everything unpacked and set up completely so I knew I wasn't going to be able to rely on my cricut. I'd have to do things in an all new (to me) way! I also knew it was going to have to be something simple! Here's my tag!
I had seen someone (and please forgive me because I can't remember who!) make letters using their hot glue gun, dawn dish soap, water and wax paper. I thought... I have all these things. Looks easy. I can do this. HA! Not as easy as I thought it was going to be! However I think for my first (or really 10th) attempt it didn't turn out to bad! I made the "LOVE" with this technique! A tip...If you try this start simple. Plain print....Cursive is TRICKY! ;)
I stamped the tag with some phrase stamps I had from the $1 bin at Joann's. Then I stamped and embossed the butterflies from a Martha Stewart Set! Forgive me I've put everything away and am too lazy at the moment to get up and look to see the exact name! ;) Next I used my blending tool and some Tim Holtz Distress inks to go over it all! Loved how it turned out! I added some butterflies I had in my stash as well as a Prima Rose, Chocolate Pearls, and Lace and Ribbon from my stash! I am really happy with how it turned out! Sometimes simple is best!

Paper Piecings By Nikki DT Offering - Birthday Bash for Kim
My daughter and LoveBug boss, Kim, is having a birthday tomorrow so I designed a pocket card for her from the Birthday Bash collection of PPbN – Paper Piecings by Nikki found at her online store at http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/
I constructed the pocket card with a base I made from the Bear in a Box, part of the collection, and then used two of the other bears, Bear in a Cupcake and Bear With Balloons, for the main focus of the card. I fussy cut the bears, used glitter pens and Stickles to highlight some of the features, and stamped my message on the top.
These patterns are so much fun to play with and their charm is undeniable.
Here’s a birthday card made with love:

My love of making brooches is well known in my crafty zone – these can be worn on a jacket, blouse, purse, scarf, etc. I even have customers who like to put them on old lampshades to dress them up. The possibilities are endless.
For this brooch I used DCWV Chateau Lavender cardstock (like one of yesterday's pocket cards) – I punched out the blossoms using a SU flower punch, a prima mini rose for the center, and worked some magic piecing together this wearable art. I've included front and back pics of my wearable art piece.
Also I made a few more pocket cards using DCWV Lace and Linen Stack, La-La Land Marci in two different images, and suitable sentiments by Pink By Design. The two cards were from one sheet of paper because it's double sided so you can see the economic benefits to employing such paper for several different cards. For the last one I used Fashionista DCWV cardstock and a Loralie Design Art Stamp, that I embossed and then colored for more of a vintage look (for more info on the pocket cards see Day #1 posting below).

Day 1 - Ginger Snap Scraps Grand Opening Blog Hop
Welcome to the Ginger Snap Scraps Grand Opening Blog Hop! I’m Pam Lash aka Mama LoveBug from LoveBug Creations. I’m part of the crafting bunch who are celebrating Cori’s online store known as Ginger Snap Scraps. This two-day hop will feature brands that Cori has for sale at her store www.gingersnapscraps.com
Cori Wagner, a stay at home mother, owns Ginger Snap Scraps and has been scrapbooking, card making and rubber-stamping for 15 years! Ginger Snap Scraps carries Cricut Cartridges always for $35 and under. They have popular brands such as My Mind's Eye, Tim Holtz, Copic, Doodlebug Design, The Twinery, Bella Blvd, Graphic 45, La-La Land, Little Yellow Bicycle, Riley & Co., Peachy Keen, and many more!
Many talented ladies have created projects to showcase some of the brands that are available in the store. The line-up is as follows:

My projects for this first day are pocket cards that I designed for different occasions. The first is a sympathy card – no one really likes to make these but they can be inspiring and comforting for those who need support and a smile during a trying time. I love La-La Land images (Marci is too sweet) and have a plethora of these in my crafting arsenal. I colored and fussy cut this one using the Chateau Lavinder DCWV paper, gel pens, pearls, a butterfly punch, my crimper, and some appropriate Pink By Design sayings. Here’s the pocket sympathy card.
I also made an Easter pocket card for my mother who resides in a near-by nursing home. The darling Easter La-La Land Marci was my pick for this too. Again I fussy cut the image after coloring, and used gel pens for highlights. I used a SU Die for Marci’s fancy frame and some appropriate images and sentiments from Jaded Blossom. The paper was from a stash of Crate Paper – truly beautiful colors for this event! Here’s Mom’s Easter card.
Please visit Ginger Snap Scraps today and enjoy free shipping on $25 orders to the U.S. and Canada!

Paper Piecings By Nikki DT Offering - Clubhouse Friends Bookmarks
Good Morning, Wednesday Crafters!
Anyone doing some paper piecing today? I do not have a cutting machine to use SVG files so I fussy cut images whenever I want to use Paper Piecings by Nikki’s wonderful pattern collections. Today I made some bookmarks (could be gift tags too with some slight modifications). I used the Clubhouse Collection found at the PPbN online store at
A tip from me – in order to make the bookmarks substantial in depth so they can be functional as well as decorative, I pick out the paper I’m going to use and then cut an identical piece of Kraft paper. Then I use double-sided tape to adhere the pretty paper to the Kraft base. I bet you already do this anyway…….LOL
Yesterday I used two of the images from the Clubhouse Collection – today I’ve utilized the others for these bookmarks – fussy cutting, gel penning, Stickling, and sentimentalizing to create these unique ways to encourage reading!
Here are my projects.

Paper Piecings By Nikki DT Offering - Anniversary or Wedding Card
Happy Tuesday, Crafters!
Paper Piecings by Nikki which is located at her online store http://www.paperpiecingsbynikki.com/ has a very large and inventive collection called Clubhouse Friends. There are lots of patterns within this collection so I took two very familiar characters and created an anniversary card (which could also be used for an engagement or wedding card as well).
I fussy cut the images after embellishing with gel pens and Stickles. I made the paper from another image in this collection. After adding sweet sentiments from Pink By Design and a few pearls on the base, I have this to show:
Card, base, and insert
