Well it's that time of year....for most people again....but for 3 little lovebugs it's their first time going to school! We are all so very excited about their first day and I was ever more excited to find out they had to have canvas totes instead of real bookbags (insert the sarcasm here!) However being somewhat crafty I thought I can handle this! Here are the bags before I worked my magic! All 3 started out the same but because all 3 kids are different so are each of their bags! Plus since they are for preschool I didn't make them too elaborate!
The first bag I made was for my nephew! He's BIG into pirates and I just recently got the Imagine Buccaneer Cartridge so I figured it would work out perfectly! I did the front and back of each bag using the images and iron on transfer paper!
Next up is my son's. As long as I can remember he's been in love with all things Dino. So it was a no-brainer when it came to what I was going to put on his. Only one small problem. There is no Imagine cart (at least that I've seen) with dinosaurs on it. So I did the next best thing....trolled the internet for free dinosaur clip art! Hey...we do what works around here! ;)
And last but not least my little girl! She wanted Princess. I had some cute images so I made her princess bag. Then decided I hated it. LOL...I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had that happen. So I decided to redo her bag and this time it would be Dora (Thank you internet!) Turned out great and she loves it!!!
Hope you enjoyed this post! Super simple to do and way better then just plain canvas bags if you ask me! :)
