Welcome to the Happily Ever After Blog Hop. This blog hop runs from May 1 – May 4.
LoveBug Creations is very proud to request your presence and to be a part of this four day event.
If you just joined us, you can go back to the beginning HERE
We’ve had so much fun creating this hop, and we have a wonderful line up with some oh-so-talented creators. You will see some lovely projects having to do with a wedding or anniversary theme and have a chance to win some blog candy along the way, including some grand prizes, which are being sponsored by Lisa from Honeybearz Designs. In order to be eligible for the grand prizes you must leave a comment on every blog in the hop and become followers to all the wonderful sponsors websites also.
Be sure to come back every day between May 1-May 4 because all blogs in this hop will post a new project each day. Lisa from Honeybearz Designs will be picking the grand prizewinners from all the comments left throughout the 4 days.
Here is a list of the complete lineup for this hop:
Mama LoveBug won the toss and will be presenting projects on Day 1 and Day 3; Kimi obviously will be creating on Days 2 and 4 (she’s the one with the real talent so don’t miss out). I’ll be celebrating 40 years of “wedded bliss” on July 31 and as a “marriage veteran” I’d like to share a few words of wisdom on the subject in the form of a poem that has so many lofty ideas, but I’d be lying if I said I followed each and every one to the hilt.
What Is Marriage?
A good marriage must be created.
In the marriage the little things are the big things.
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say 'I love you' at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together and facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is not only marrying the right person.
It is being the right partner.

Well, I said it had food for thought – I think I’ll “encourage” Papa LoveBug to memorize a few choice-selected lines and put them into practice. I bet if you’re married, you could pick out a few lines that need some fine-tuning too!
Next up is my project for Day 1 – it’s wearable art. If you are planning to attend a wedding in the near future, how about a fancy brooch to complete your ensemble? Here are pictures of Mama LoveBug’s stylish wedding brooch made out of – yup, you guessed it – paper!
Before you leave - what’s a blog hop without blog candy? Well we’ve got some terrific chances for giveaways along the line. LoveBug Creations is offering a Wedding treat in the form of a Bride and Groom Sticker Set. Think of all the possible crafty things you could do with this pair!
Here’s what you as our guest need to do:
1. Become a follower if you’re not – we heart fans!
2. Leave a comment with a way for us to notify you (if you win) and share the love! Please comment only once per day and do come back each of the four days of the hop; that means four chances to win. We heart international fans but our “Blog Candy” must unfortunately stay in the USA.
3. Winners of our blog candy will be posted on May 5. Random.org will choose the winner, winner, come to dinner!!
The first picture is the paper I chose – double-sided wedding paper and Core’dinations pink paper. The second photo is the almost finished project w/o bling. I could have left it that way but I heart Stickles so this is a must for my taste, which you can see in photo #3. LoveBug Creations sells these brooches so if you’re interested, drop us a line at lovebugcreations3 at gmail dot com
