Mama LoveBug made a pocket card with her husband in mind - he is a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict so here's the card for him - In The Navy:
I made a paper doll Navy guy and took some Stampin UP materials - Father's Day tie set and sentiments - Thinking of You and Happy Father's Day and used silver and gold embossing powders. I cut out the top sentiment for the Navy hat and the bottom ties for the base which I adhered to several scalloped mats. The paper was also SU. Of course, what's a card without Stickles for the tie, life preserver, and the Navy guy's eyes!!
Awwww....Mama's project for my (Kimi) dad is too darn cute, huh? I also went the Father's Day route and made this card for my hubby from my kiddos! I used about 7 patterns from PPbN to make this card! You ought to check her site out as she has adorable patterns AND is having a HUGE SUMMER SALE! :) When I saw her new "I LOVE DADDY" sets I knew I had to use them for my card!!! I also used pattern paper from DCWV (Sweet Treats Stack) Buttons from SU! sentiment stamped using KinderStampo's "Say it in Type" set, PK faces and twine from my stash! Everything else is all PPbN! Hope you enjoy this card as much as I do! :)
Please make sure to check out Tanya's Blog and visit the other PH DT member blogs as well! We've all put in a lot work on these projects and want to know you are seeing them!

Kimi
