Time Flies Blog Hop

Happy 2013, Crafties!  Welcome to the Time Flies New Year's Blog Hop. If you've jumped over from Lucy, you're on the right path, but if you stumbled on this hop and want to begin with our blog hostess, zip over to Connie.

We have a fabulous sponsor, Creative Kuts, who is generously giving away a really cute New Year's SVG file. So what do you need to do to win? Easy... become a follower of each of the fabulous blogs in this hop and leave each of us a comment letting us know what you like best about our projects. Then head over to Connie and post that you followed the rules. You will have until 9:00 pm Sunday to finish the hop and leave your comments.

Be sure to follow everyone and leave a comment along the way!
The theme of this hop is New Years and 2013, so with that in mind I made a stand up double-sided card for my desk at the library where I work.

I started out with the Scrapbook Stamp Society's Tily & Tiddells digi stamp by Sherri Baldy.
This is the finished project.  I did the following:
*Digi Stamp - just me and my trusty scissors to fussy cut the image, printed out at 6"
*To make the stand-up double-sided effect I printed out a reverse image; fussy cut, traced onto Kraft paper to make it sturdy, cut, adhered the Kraft cardstock to the front and back image and then adhered them together at the top of her party hat (used double-sided tape for a secure stick)
*Colored pencils, gel pen, and Stickles - I love the glitz!!
*Finished her off with an On-The-Edge Ribbon from our LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon Collection

Here's a close-up of the LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon - check us out!

The next two pictures show more of the detailing.

This final picture shows the side view of the stand-up card.

I hope you are inspired to try this idea for your 2013 craftiness.  My resolution is to step out of my comfort zone this year and experiment with new ideas and tools. What's yours? Was it by chance a resolution to try-out for a Creative Team? If so, check out our LoveBug Creations Rumple Ribbon CT - info at the top of our page.

Remember, no matter how you piece your paper and rumple your ribbon, have fun with it.........cyberhugs as time flies..........Mama LoveBug.

Now I'll send you on to Janea

Wow, now that card took some time to make but worth it. I really like it. You did a great job on her and she's so cute with her little mouse by her side. I'm a new follower.
